Starlester and Dawnmore are two kingdoms at war. After a long history of betrayal, thievery, and undermining, the Queen of Dawnmore sends assassins after the royal family of Starlester. Princess Lavina, under a disguise, is attacked -- but she is rescued by Lady Denzell of Dawnmore, who was unaware of the assassination plans and was not wearing their usual attire. While the two continue to meet and begin to fall for one another, their kingdoms declare war.
Lord Denzell must fight in the war against Starlester. Princess Lavina must keep performing
her royal duty as the war strategist, all while ensuring that nobody suspects a thing. She is engaged to Prince Dusk of Sunrest, after all -- only for political reasons, and both parties are aware of it, but nobody else is.
As the war continues and tensions continue to rise between kingdoms, Denzell and Lavina have an important decision to make. They could keep meeting up, betraying their kingdoms and lying to their loved ones, or they could call it off before it gets worse, focusing on what really matters and leaving each other behind. Oh, but a goodbye kiss couldn't hurt, right?
The princess of Starlester, as well as their war strategist. She can be a bit stubborn and manipulative, but she remains friendly and will always keep her word.
The captain of Starlester's army, holding the title "Angel of Starlester." She is known for her strength and her mercy, and cares about her soldiers much more than she should.
The prince of Sunrest, and a very powerful sorcerer. They're Lavina's best friend and tend to get bored around the castle, longing for something to be a part of.
The strongest knight in all of Dawnmore, holding the title "Demon of Dawnmore." They are spoken about in hushed whispers, but to those who know them, they're not all that threatening.
The captain of the Dawnmore army, and Denzell's best friend. Although he's certainly strong, he was chosen to be captain because of his heart. He hopes it doesn't make him weak.
A fire sorcerer for Dawnmore's side, and one who isn't afraid to kill. She rarely listens to captain's orders, but with the right motivation, she can be a very powerful ally.
A southeastern kingdom surrounded by plains, valleys, and mountains. Starlester is affiliated with the celestial bodies, drawing magic from the moon and stars.
A northern kingdom, deep in the highest mountains. Dawnmore is known for their mining exports with a close, magical connection to the earth.
A southwestern kingdom across the sea, on the peaks of cliffs and canyons. Sunrest is a wealthy kingdom that's home to powerful sorcerers and beautiful gemstones.
