Anima
An underworld organization originating as a resistance group that has its beginnings in Germany. They've remained relatively unknown to other countries due to the simple fact that literally no one outside of the members knows about it. If they did, then the only reason would be that they are, in fact, part of Project Anima. Indeed, members with children will typically opt to raise them in the organization. The names of sectors mirror that of classical angelology, but “descend” as a way of humility.
Children, removed from the workings of the other sectors and raised by Cherubim. As all of them are children, there is no true leader. The closest thing would be the teenagers.
Caretakers, service staff, teachers and the like. The purpose of this sector’s members is to retrieve displaced children, and care for them whilst indoctrinating them into Project Anima. Raising children is considered one of the most noble tasks, with the leader being chosen from the caretakers.
Their leaders are generally considered to be senior caretakers, like a weird P&C association.
Children 12 years and older, who have succeeded the appropriate aptitude tests and are underway to become fighters for the sake of “the mission”. Otherwise, adults who have become soldiers for Project Anima. Aptitude tests are conducted regularly, with multiple failures denoting the Throne being delegated to a different role or task within the organization. Their physical capacities are on par with or far higher than soldiers in the actual military, depending on the individual Throne. For most members of Anima, this is considered the final goal.
Researchers, scientists, engineers working for Project Anima with one specific goal in mind: Improvement. They are the ones behind the improving weapons and utilities used by the Thrones, Virtues, Powers, and Principalities. However, while improving weapons is one thing, their true focus is on improving Project Anima’s fighters themselves. Countless experiments are performed in hopes of finding a way to turn regular soldiers into super soldiers. Some have succeeded, many have failed.
Successful experiments go on to join the Powers.
The Dominions sector has also been working on a secret project: Future Ark. Its goal is to clone exceptional members of Project Anima so that if the real person was to die, copies would be available. Not only that but…if perfect soldiers could simply be created…nothing would be able to stop Anima right?
Hitmen, mercenaries, contract killers devoted to Project Anima. Those who hunt the dark. While each member in this sector is hand-picked for their abilities, they’re also chosen for their obedience and resilience to stress and adrenaline. If a politician or other corrupt public figure suddenly vanishes off the face of the earth, it was most likely the work of a Virtue. But considering assassination can be done by common folk, suspecting a nonexistent underground organization is usually the last thing people think of.
Senior Virtues who have served the organization for years and earned a place among the top 7 are made leaders of smaller squads of Virtues, supervising and guiding them.
The Powers are a peculiar sector within Project Anima. Its members are entirely made of genetically enhanced individuals who are stronger, faster, or smarter than the rest of their peers.
Members of Project Anima whose skill sets are so diverse that they did not fit into a single sector. Principalities are equipped to assist any sector of Anima that is in need of extra help.
Those in positions of power in politics. Able to sway the decisions of country leaders.
