The world of Voldea is diverse, from chilling peaks to harsh deserts, there are many creatures that inhabit it. To the east lies Draxcogia and its war with Stríðsljós, as the two countries have been locked in battle for millenia. The creation myths of Stríðsljós state that a great dragon once ate the sun, and so the culture sees dragons and their descendents, the Zmaja, like evil beings.

The feud between Stríðsljós and Draxcogia makes up only a small fraction of the strife of this world however, as dark creatures lie in wait at certain locations on the map. To the west there is the soul sucking Tree of Life in Khmug-Dâ, which eats the life force of everything that comes close to it. The cult that inhabits the area captures travelers and sacrifices them to this mystical tree. At the heart of Stríðsljós there is the God's Maw, a legend that states there is an enormous creature's mouth that leads to the underworld. All over the map there are these legends and creatures, existing at points where leylines converge and where magick is as its strongest. Belief becomes reality and fear becomes justified as those thoughts come to life in the form of these eldritch creatures.
