Gnossienne's Bulletins

PARTIAL REVAMP INCOMING.

Posted 1 year, 6 months ago by NIGHT-CALLER

Species will be revamped and re-released with more simple and common Closed Species aspects.
Existing Galateau can be edited for free (while remaining mildly similar) once these edits are dished out.

Older Galateau will now be noted as "Legacy"!
Any Fish and Avian based Galateau are now a "Subspecies", with Avians being "rare/uncommon" by default;
Traits will also be capable of being mix-and-matched (by subspecies), but feral forms are restricted to the "ear" trait of the Galateau.
Legacy Gala will gain the ability to be edited (within reason) for free once their subspecies trait list has been released.

Unknown release date as of now.
But I am currently looking for admins and Discord mods, for any interested.

Rules & FAQ

Posted 3 years, 6 months ago by NIGHT-CALLER

🎍 GENERAL RULES 🎍
• By owning a species within Gnossienne, you immediately agree to these terms, as each species has it's own strict rules. You may not make a Gnossienne species unless you have read these rules and understand which of these you may make. If you do, it will not be considered canon, and you will be blacklisted from the species as a whole.

• Credit the original species.
- this essentially means to credit back to the origin. if posting on deviantart, credit "@/ouropal", and if posting on toyhou.se, credit Ouro in the description.

• Users who are not an admin or guest artist CANNOT make a Galateau adopt. Users CAN take customs however.
- this ONLY APPLIES to users with a myo slot. keep in mind that it will use up any free slots you have, and make sure to get it approved first.
- if a user who is commissioned for a custom refuses to listen to myo regulations, they will be blacklisted.
- however, users can also receive a free custom from us here!

• Designs created for free may not be sold, only gifted or traded. This applies to raffle-obtained designs as well.
- this does not apply to designs with commissioned work, if the artist(s) allow it. Then, you may sell it for the price of the artwork commissioned.
- please keep in mind that each user may only make 3 Common Galateau for free. all other species in Gnossienne are NOT open to make.

• If a design was obtained via purchase, it may be resold for its original price.
- same as above applies here. If it is allowed, you may resell it for it's original price + commissioned work.

• When a design has been traded/sold/gifted, alert an owner or admin.
- this is required to update the masterlist. Please comment below, or contact an admin/creator in the Discord group or here.

• If you would like to remove your design from the CS, please alert an owner or admin.
- this is possible, but is nonreversable. once a Galateau, Sarabu/Sarossu, or any other species has been removed, it may not be reverted back.
- if changing it to something else, please remove all likeness to a Galateau if possible. this means removing the base material extremities and halo(s).

• Major design changes are only capable if you have an item allowing you to do so.
- this applies to: halo amount, anima blessing (animal likeness), halo amount, and base material. otherwise, base body markings and some hues of the rest of the body may be changed.
- each item costs $10 or 10k Onikiv (free obtainable currency). you can obtain this currency in the Discord, or by drawing/writing of your Gnossienne species.

• Copying existing designs is NOT allowed. This applies to "kin" characters, or characters similar to a copy-righted idea for fun.
- if the design looks too similar to an existing character, it will be rejected. you may be inspired, but if you are capable of telling what it is 110%, that is not okay.

MYO Information

Posted 3 years, 6 months ago by NIGHT-CALLER

🎍 GENERAL MYO INFO 🎍
• Each user has the ability to make 3 Galateau for free. Any Galateau made after that must have a purchasable slot in order to be considered a Galateau.
• As of right now, only Samsuma Galateau may be made, as they are considered more common and easily accessible to the people of the Valley.
• DISCLAIMER: Each time you make a Galateau, you lose a slot. If you trade/sell/gift, you do not gain them back, and must purchase slots from then on out to make more.

• Where do I update the admins if I trade/sell/gift/void my Galateau?
- Please comment below to inform us of your Galateau's whereabouts! Either get your transaction partner to comment for confirmation, or show us proof it took place.

• Can my Galateau be futuristic?
- In accordance to the lore and world, sadly this is not possible.
- This species world can be seen as similar to The Witcher, Skyrim, or Monster Hunter World, in terms of their machinery and clothing!

• Can halos be more detailed? How do they expand?
- Halos typically show growth inward vs outward; instead of spreading out, rings would appear within.
- Halos can also be more detailed and have add-on shapes vs just lines!

• Can I use organic materials ( wood, water, ice, etc.) as the base material for my Galateau?
- At the moment, this is not available! To go more into depth for what is allowed for base material, it is essentially either naturally occurring nonorganic materials, or easily man-made fantasy materials (ex. polished iron, gold, gemstones, granite, mithril, etc.) If you can make it using fire, minimal magic, and a hammer, it's possible.
- Things like petrified wood and fossils are NOT available as of right now, since the world (in lore) is incredibly new. These items have yet to be available.

• Can I make a Galateau based off of bugs/crustaceans or mythical/cryptid creatures? If not, how come?
- A Samsuma Galateau can only be a tetrapod; ex. think vertebrates. mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, amphibians, etc.
- This excludes arthropods, crustaceans, mollusks, annelid, and cnidarians; ex. invertebrates. These are reserved for Leisuma/Peisuma (plants/bugs) and Dumasuma (water).
- Excluding mythical/cryptid creatures is because there's no point for a common Galateau to be either; it would be a loophole to receive double anima traits.
- This also means you cannot have nagas, mer-people, or taurs; since Samsuma Galateau are tetrapods.
- Dinosaurs are also unavailable at this time.

• Can we make an Ancient or Consumed Galateau? If not, how do we get them?
- Both Ancients and Consumed are purchasable Galateau only! They can either be purchased via a MYO slot or via adoptable from one of the admins.
- However, traits from Ancients and Consumed will be available for small MYOs as well. These will be purchasable and obtainable from events.

• Can I convert an existing design to a Galateau?
- Yes, this is doable! Just get permission from the original designer if that is not you, and make sure to have a MYO slot available.

• Where do base material parts start and end?
- A base material can be visible on their extremities; this means arms, legs, and potentially tail. They can be any mix of length and polish; one arm can end at the elbow, while the other is all the way to the shoulder! When it comes to tails, it's at the tip to the mid section (it can't be the entirety).
- A base material cannot be segmented, as in it cannot be broken up to look like stripes. They can have intricated designs at the end however, just not separated.

• Can my Galateau have a prosthetic? If so, what materials?
- A Galateau may only have a prosthetic if: a) it is very visibly a prosthetic and b) if it is made of iron/gold/silver/mithril/steel. Any other materials will not be accepted.

• Can glass be used as a base material? Can things be put inside this glass?
- You may have glass as the base, but it CANNOT be hollow. However, having things like flowers and leaf materials melded in the glass is okay.

• For repairs, can Galateau have a kintsugi-like trait? Are repairs visible?
- No, Galateau cannot be repaired using kintsugi since the materials given for repairs are added on as if it's brand new.
- Repairs are not visible, however cracks may have Auviir seeping through and rising to the surface; think of it as a "scab". This can cause a kintsugi-look, and would have to be the same color as their halo. The cracks MUST be visible however, since this isn't available without it.

• Can my Galateau have a muzzle or beak? If not, what facial features from anima blessings can I use?
- No, you may not have a muzzle or beak, since this would suggest more feral tendencies and thoughts (it's a Sarossu only trait); you can however have animal noses, and things like scales or fur on the face!
- You may also have human feet on your Galateau, they are not required to have animal-only feet!

Additional Information:
• Galateau can't bleed! Instead, whenever they crack or break, Auviir acts as a scab and seals the fracture. This is to prevent anything from seeping into cracks and causing more issues.
• Their hair, skin, etc is very coarse! Think of it as a shark; although it can be soft, generally, it has a sandy texture. Some Galateau may be polished though, to allow for a smoother surface.
• Only Ancients can hide their Auviir halo in specific sections of their body! Common Galateau must always have halos visible.
