🌸 Valley of Flowers -- main

VALLEY OF FLOWERS

Valley of Flowers is the territory that the dragons protect and live within. It's charactarized as three lands varying in main element to better suit the dragons and their Galateau, the largest being Leisuma and Peisuma's territories. Samsuma and Dumasuma are on the outer and inner most areas of the Valley, being visible as the mountains protecting the Valley for Samsuma, and the lake just underneath the World Tree for Dumasuma. It's known to be heavily secluded and hidden from the outside world, only spoken of as a sacred place that spirits and demons reside, though it's uncertain if the Abyss from the underground is truly kept within the Valley's walls...

THE KINGS, AND THEIR PRINCES

"Our everwatchful overseers... Life and death are theirs alone."

—Hræfn, the dark moon

Samsuma and Dumasuma were the first to arrive. Strong and cooperative, the two powerful dragons used their abilities of fire and water to create what we know today as Thellorien. The continent is large, the Valley of Flowers sitting amid the mass of land. With the creation of land and water complete, they created their first princes; Leisuma and Peisuma. Gifted with a new element, the newborn dragons created plantlife and wildlife, followed by their kings creating human life.

Within the earth, Samsuma had begun his own project, instead using the things his family created to create new, living beings using Auviir, or life essence. Creating new plantlife and humanoids of materials from the earth, he revelled in his creations, protecting them within the darkness of the underground. However, the further they went, the darker it became, to the point where even the Auviir plants shined no more. Fear consumed the weak, followed by the darkness devouring their pure, untouched souls...

THE ABYSS, AND IT'S ACOLYTES

"It was once our home, the darkness. Now it spreads and seeks to devour the sun."

—Samsuma, the eternal king

Within their home of earth and darkness, brewed the worst of things. Not even the suma knew of it's purpose or it's existence, having only been put on an empty planet- it was not theirs alone afterall. The Abyss was decided to be an endless dark, one that no one could traverse through or even dream to conquer. It was soon discovered to be much worse, and drove the Galateau from their homes to the sun touched grasses of the Valley of Flowers.

Those left within the dark became the Abyss' acolytes, it's most trusted confidantes. Unlike the others, the acolytes did not die and did not become mindless shells. Instead, they embraced the hatred brewing within their now dark hearts, the Abyss then granting them powers that no one ever dared to ask for. Power and destruction were promised, an everconvincing offer...

THE GALATEAU, AND THEIR LOST ONES

"They were just like us, many moons ago. Now they're consumed by the dark, full of hatred... Let us help them sleep."

—Caelestis, captain of the guard

Now on the surface and surrounded by humans that required their protection, Galateau were now melded with specific tasks in mind. This would help the humans within the Valley of Flowers thrive and grow strong. The thought was that since the entrance to the underground was within Samsuma's territory within the Valley, then those living near it must simply grow strong enough to keep the Abyss contained within it's everconsuming prison. Samsuma's children were eager to help, the Galateau looking to their eldest for assistance. Hræfn gained leadership and the ability to create other Galateau, hoping to fight the darkness that took his brother.

The consumed were given a name: Sarossu, while the ones that remained in control were named Sarabu. Galateau and humans fight together to put the hatred-consumed creatures to rest, as their bodies mutate to better destroy anything they run into within their path. Although Sarossu are mindless, Sarabu are capable of controlling them and the dark. Still, they're considered in need of saving, and it's extremely important to put them to rest despite what they may say and do. They are no longer themselves, and require all the help they can get.
