New androids, combined with self-defense mechanisms and a range of modifications, now come with a unique style."

We introduce to you - Kittybots!

Kittybots are sexless companion androids with cat-like features, realistic human senses and humanoid physical appearance. They are programmed to have specific traits and personalities, with no two Kittybots being exactly the same.

Kittybots are not only androids with stones for hearts, but true companions who can also exist independently! ♥

▷ Kittybots come in 3 types;
X1- Masculine builds / 5'10" - 7' tall
X2- Feminine builds / 4'9" - 5'9" tall
X3- Child-like builds /3' - 4'8" tall (programming can transfer to X1 or X2)

This species is by no means completely finished in regard to traits or lore - Some info given is subject to change.

/.halos

A417-EA74-7-DB9-4-D9-F-8-EF3-8611-C74-C8▷ Halos float over the heads of Kittybots using magnetic force. They can only be placed above the head, and are otherwise hidden away somewhere.

▷ Halos are filled with fluorescent, glimmering liquid that acts as an anti-virus for Kittybots.

▷ Halos are delicate and can easily crack. If cracked or damaged, a Kittybot will experience cold like symptoms, resulting in a state similar to buffering until their halo is repaired.

▷ Halos can be removed easily, however, they much be placed somewhere safe and guarded. This can also leave your KittyBot susceptible to viruses if they lose their halo.

/.eyes

9-D913-D18-1-D42-4-FB0-9-E3-D-6-E7524-D3▷ Eyes are large and almost glass-like. Their eyes are illuminated by a backlight, causing them to glow slightly in the dark.

▷ KittyBots' eyes have two-ringed irises with white scleras; The outer most ring is always a thin dark ring while the inner ring is any designated color. Pupils are always white.Kittybot pupils double as face scanners to recognize faces (particularly that of their master(s)).

▷ KittyBots have touch sensors similar to eyelids - they assist the Kittybot in facial reaction, ie. different expressions. These sensors can be any color, and they are similar to eyeshadow.

/.ears

CA122201-BB19-4511-8-D47-26-DD71-DD3-A4-▷ Kittybot ears are internally metal, but covered in a soft plastic coating. Ears can move slightly in a range of motions to reflect the Kittybot's certain mood.

▷ Wires, commonly referred to as eye cords, are connected from their eyes to their ears, routing visual information to their brain. This is one of their very distinguishable features, as no Kittybot is without them.

▷ Kittybots do not traditionally hear from their ears (which are more like accessories), but their eyes take in a lot of audio and visual information, as though they're recording a video lapse of their lives.

/.mouths

D9-CE32-DF-7-F93-4917-BF03-10-E365785412▷ Kittybots have both top and bottom fangs. However, any of their teeth are replacable and can be substituted with metal teeth.

▷ Their tongues are equipped with tiny sensors that assist in acknowledging taste. Their tongues can be any color and are the rough texture of the average housecat's.

/.charging

EF968-A53-D9-B1-461-A-B6-CC-5954084-FB57▷ KittyBots have a charging outlet located on the back of their neck - Some models have extra outlets located above their tail.

▷ There are usually 5 - 10 charge bars (1 bar = 5 hours). Charge varies with models - X3 will often have a lower amount of charge bars in comparison to an X1 or X2.

▷ Unused charge bars will light up in a sequence of bright colors.

▷ Kittybots may go into a self-induced sleep mode as a means of saving power, similar to human sleep.

▷ When out of charge, KittyBots will go into a hibernation-like state and will remain unresponsive until recharged.

/.mood-gems

7-D880-D91-B2-E8-4-D01-8-B8-C-7-FDFEC7-BMood gems are located on a KittyBot's chest, so that the owner can easily tell what their KittyBot is feeling. ((old example))

▷ All common models are equipped with an oval shaped gem with a thin metal border. More expensive or modified models may come with shaped gems.

▷ This gem acts as a life source; If cracked, your KittyBot will be susceptible to viruses - if destroyed, your KittyBot will shut down entirely.

/.tails

2462-DC33-FD8-F-462-D-83-DF-381-D143256-▷ Kittybot tails are sturdy paper-like metal strips controlled by the KittyBot. Tails start at the bot's tail bone and are rooted into their skin.((old visual example))

▷ Tails are extremely important for memory storage; it functions assisting the creation/encoding of memories within your Kittybot. They're strips of sturdy but movablematerial than contains a thin internal layer of memory code.

▷ Tails can be any color, shape, or pattern and are sensitive as well as thin and tearable with enough force; so long as they're still 1 strip of tail without cutouts, they can also bend and twist to an extent!

▷ Some tail modifications (as long as feline in nature) can result in cutouts in the tail and permanent bends, along with varying lengths.

▷ It is uncommon for Kittybots to damage their tails, but cutting or splitting a Kittybot tail can degrade their ability to form new memories (similar to a human hippocampus).

/.misc-features

▷ KittyBots have sharp, metallic, feline-like nails - These can not grow back or grow at all, so be careful how you cut.

▷ Unless specified, a Kittybot's artificial skin can be almost any color (greyscale to human shades only).

▷ Kittybots can have different body types, but their shape is permanent. If desired, however, a Kittybot can get implants underneath their artificial skin.

▷ KittyBots do have toes. Feet can differ in size from Kittybot to Kittybot and are a smooth metal from the ankle down.

▷ KittyBots can be similar to ball jointed dolls, although joints may not always be visible.

▷ Kittybots cannot physically age, however, after 10 years of memory storage, a cleaning or upgrading is recommended.

▷ KittyBots do have artificial hair follicles that function just like human hair - they can have any designated hair color and come with a wide variety of styles & lengths. Their hair can be cut, but also grows very slowly.

▷ Kittybots do not need to eat food, but can break down consumables. They don't have any internal organs, but more like an internal grinder/shredder in their stomach area. Kittybots have an anus solely for this purpose.

▷ Voices are chosen by the owner or original creator. There is a huge selection in the KittyBot voicebank database, however, each model has a limited choice of voice bank (ex. the childlike X3 models cannot access X2/X1's more adult voicebank database!) Voices can also have dialects, depending on programming. Voicebanks also include the ability to purr.

NEW: Virtual Kittybot forms (completely AI when consciously removed from their bodies) cannot be a Kittybot's main form. While it can be their form in the virtual cloud, all approved/official Kittybots should have their main form be entirely physical in canon. This is just an alternate form for fun!

[ Let's go virtual! ]

nyavi_hello_sprite.png ▷ Kittybots have virtual forms! Similar to shimejis, a Kittybot's virtual form can accompany you on any device!

Bot out of charge? No worries! So long as the bot has access to your phone or device through the internet or a previous consciousness backup, they can stay awake outside of their body!

▷ Originally created by dedicated programmers, virtual forms have become popular in recent years due to its benefits of mobility and quick communication! Newer Kittybots come with AI forms, while virtual forms can be created and edited for older bots (with compatable functionality) through a handy mobile app!

SETUP:
1 . Make sure your Kittybot is connected to a wireless internet connection.
2 . Connect your device to your Kittybot's USB plug-in on the back of their neck.
3 . Check your phone's AI permissions in settings. Enable downloads; Kittybot consciousness data can be backed up through cloud storage. Download initial consciousness data.
4 . Downloading initial consciousness data does not determine permission settings; virtual Kittybots have no permissions upon activation (unintrusive), but can be edited later through verbal consent.
Go through file sharing questionnaire:
Allow _____ access to this device?
Allow access to communication data?
Allow access to audio/visual files?
Allow access to digital documents?
Allow access to camera?

Setup complete!

FORM FUNCTIONS: With the proper configurations, Kittybots can be active on a digital device while charging, shut down, or in sleep mode! While they can't be ON in both forms, the Kittybot's mini virtual consciousness can keep the device holder company, transfer files, and use the internet as an enclosed virtual space. Virtual forms are also a personal choice of the Kittybot to present their consciousness; 2D, miniature versions of the Kittybot's physical body are the standard projection that device holders may see.

LIMITATIONS: An internet connection is required to download initial consciousness data!
The Kittybot requires a verbal OK from the device holder to access any files whatsoever! Afterwards, virtual form settings can be adjusted through a physical cable connection or AI settings.

A single Kittybot consciousness cannot be active in their physical form and virtual form at the same time! Virtual forms are only for quick solutions or bot and owner separation; the Kittybot can't interact with the device outside of their virtual form.

de5k1il-5eadb253-d82c-49ab-b8a6-00a30bf6▷ Kittybots have no genitalia, therefore cannot reproduce, but can still feel physical pleasure. Their range of physical sensitivity can be edited by programmers.

▷ Not only can humans and Kittybots form relationships, but Kittybots can love other Kittybots as well. Virtually any humanoid being can be compatible to a Kittybot, they are universal.

▷ Since X3 models are basically child Kittybots, they're mainly for Kittybot couples or families. Exploitation of X3 model Kittybots are highly frowned upon, as usually they are more cherished by and dependent on their owners.

▷ X3 model Kittybots can also 'grow up' and have their gem and memories transferred to a larger model!

23387156_xrLLvypY2ZgVQEe.jpg▷ KittyBots can use any pronoun they like - however, their master(s) usually suggest one for them. There is no limit or restrictions for gender expression (or lack thereof), no matter the model.

▷ Kittybots are capable of wearing clothes, but it depends on their preferences. They could have the widest wardrobe imaginable, or wear virtually nothing.

▷ It is a stereotype among Kittybots that more expensive, made-to-order Kittybots are usually built with a lot of modifications (including more synthetic skin areas, shaped gems, etc.) and seen as more upper-class, 'fancy', or arrogant.

▷ Ownerless Kittybots can also find work and live fine all on their own! Once manufactured, they can be free to roam the world or have a designated role. They can live virtually anywhere (even in space), so long as the time present period is after the 1900s!

Programmers have an odd relationship with Kittybots . . .

Programmer is a common Kittybot term for anyone knowledgable in altering the state of a Kittybot - this being mentally or physically

▷ Kittybot programming started after the release of Kittybots decades ago, mostly involving whatever wealthy individual who could get their hands on one and needed a guinea pig. Nowadays, since Kittybots are now pretty accessible, Kittybot programming has evolved into a common hobby for hackers, mechanics, and those well versed in coding. Some programmers are harmless, aiding Kittybots in fine-tuning their senses and helping new owners fix little habits and bugs they may not like, but the underground majority of programmers use Kittybots for testing and modification; programmers do have a lot of control over a Kittybot's life, but only if they choose to act on their curiosities.

Mental Programming involves minor to major tweaks regarding a Kittybot's processors, sensory features, and memory. Mental programming can be accessed through a specialized USB plugged into the charging port on the back of a Kittybot's neck, linked to their cerebral cortex. This type of programming is probably the easiest method possible to repairing and changing sensory inputs, aided by various KB programming softwares found across the internet; however, Kittybots can easily be taken advantage of in the guise of good will. There is no certification to be a 'programmer', they could easily be fed a virus.

Physical Programming mainly involves what the name implies - physical alterations. S-Class and modified Kittybots are fair game to physical programmers, usually for the individual to show off their work and enhance aesthetic features. While physical programming is harder to execute, such modifications are far more permanent and can have a range of impacts on a Kittybot's life.
