- Formalitea has closed down and no longer exists. It has been mysteriously and magically replaced by Waste Not Potions & Brews run by the Witch of the Wastes who has decided to move to Camellia and set up shop...in the exact same spot where Formalitea used to be....
- All Brews, past MYO Bundles, and some potion traits will be on a seasonal rotation, which means you will only be able to purchase them during certain months of the year.
- The Mimic List/Mimic Potion no longer exists. All the potions that were included in the Mimic Potion have either been moved to different potions, combined to create new traits, or retired completely.
- With the removal of the Mimic Potion, any alternate forms that were included with it have been retired or were combined to create a new Alternate form called Wraith Walker which is now available in The Haven.
- With the extinction of the Mimic Potion, the 2020 Halloween MYO package will no longer be available to anyone - this includes Mods and Contributors as well. This has now been replaced with the new Witch’s Gift MYO package that is now available in The Nursery for a limited time! It comes in two varieties, as the Witch of the Wastes has a flair for the dramatic.
- Some Mimic potion traits are now locked and will only be for Mods and Contributors to use; these will only be available to members through official adopt designs or customs.
- There have been three new potions introduced: Cursed Cordial, Periodic Philtre, & Elusive Elixir. They can be found in the new Waste Not Potions and Brews shop. These have replaced the Mimic potion.
- Some potions from Annah’s Gift Shop have been mysteriously taken over by the Waste Not Potions & Brews, however Annah doesn’t seem to mind as it’s a few less potions she has to order and stock. These include the Devilish Elixir and Boru-jo.

October Trait Overhaul Update
As we alluded to previously, we are doing a complete overhaul of our potion traits, shops, etc. starting October 1st, 2023. Keep reading below for all the changes.

Mimic Traits Moving to Other Potions
- Tea Fanged: Teeth/Fangs are glass and tea-filled. -> Experimental Tincture
- Spiked Flight: Gives wings a distinctive tea-filled “spike” at the top of each wing and at the end of each spine. -> Experimental Tincture
- Anointed: Sacred flame floats above the horn(s). -> Devilish Elixir
- Bone Horns: Gives one set of two, non-glass, bone horns of any shape on either side of the head. -> Devilish Elixir
- Glossia: The tongue is abnormally shaped. It can be extremely elongated, unusually slender, and/or split. (Combines and replaces the “Split” & “Moth-like Tongue” and just gives more options for design) -> Devilish Elixir
- Levitation: Character has the ability to float or hover in the air without the use of wings. (Combined with Low Gav and now Low Grav encompasses all these abilities) -> Celestial Concoction
- Glass Fins: Adorns parts of the body with tea-filled glass fins. -> Annah’s Alcohol Additive
- Flourishing: Magical flowers sprout from the hair, blooming and withering depending on the character’s mood. The flowers can be any color and don't necessarily have to be natural flowers existing in nature. (Used to be known as “Overgrown") -> Essence of Vestiges: Overgrown
- Feathered Tail: Modifies the “Long Tail” trait to have feathers at the end rather than fur/hair. (This has been combined with Plumage and now allows Plumage to affect the tail tip of the Long tail as well) -> Essence of Vestiges: Tempest
All other traits were combined and/or moved to the Cursed Cordial, Periodic Philre, or Elusive Elixir in the Waste Not Potions & Brews store.
Mimic Traits That Have Been Fully Retired
These potion traits will be retired and no longer available as of October 1st of 2023. They will also not be eligible to be inherited by Offspring of any designs featuring these traits after this date.
- It’s Electric: Places up to two electric tesla coils on the body, giving the impression that the Tea Unicorn is electric powered and can harness electricity.
- Touch of the Spider: Spider-like legs extend from the upper and/or lower back.
- Mandibles: Gives character insect mandibles that retract in and out of the mouth.
- Waxwork: Body is made of wax, and can affect the whole body or just parts.
- Webbed: Strong webs grow from various parts of the body. Like hair, they can be cut off and will grow back.
- Zombie Flesh: Skin appears tattered, decaying, and/or falling off.
- Vein Glorious: Creates dimly glowing veins that appear in the skin that erupt into flames under extreme emotional stress.
- Glass Veins: Tea filled glass veins on arms, legs, neck, and/or around eyes.
- Foliage: Hair on head and/or tail have the appearance of leaves or branches from a specific plant or tree.
- Compound Eyes: Multifaceted irises/pupils like that of an insect.
- Radiant Glitter: Tea has little glowing specks/flecks of sunlight in it.
- Alar: Shade/Shadow/Impression of wings that are otherwise destroyed and no longer there.
- Absent Shadow: Character casts no shadow in any form of light.
- Curse of the Moon: Has a larger, werewolf-like humanoid form. All traits stay the same unless specifically specified and approved.
- Biting the Sun: Fangs drip with liquid sunlight when in werewolf-like form from Curse of the Moon.
- Biting the Moon: Fangs drip with liquid moonlight when in werewolf-like form from Gift of the Moon.
- Chiroptera: Face gains bat/vampire features; defines contours in the face, so sharper cheekbones, forehead ridges, bat like nose and larger version of the current ear type. Triggers when feeling strong emotions or at night.
- Primordial Visage: The true demonic form of the vampire in all its terrible might; strikes pure fear into normal folk. Resembles both mortal, bat and elements of a demon. Defined facial contours, sharper claws, longer fangs, and much shorter overall body hair.

Event: Cybertech Rebellion
In the far distant future, Camellia and the surrounding lands have become a futuristic hellscape dotted with neon metropolises run by corporate overlords. Crime, pollution, chaos, and technology run rampant with little to reign any of it in. An underground movement began in order to battle the injustices and disparity of life that the corporations have caused. The Cybertech Rebellion, run by M3DU54 and her second in command, CH1M3R4, have organized a small band of rebellion fighters hellbent on bringing down these corrupt corporations and saving Camellia from itself.
Unfortunately the Cybertech Rebellion had made very little headway, until M3DU54, affectionately known as Meg among her rebel cohorts, had caught wind of new, experimental technology that was in its final phases of completion. The Time Spark was rumored to make time travel possible. With that kind of technology at their fingertips, Meg knew she could turn the tides on the head corporations. She plotted with CH1M3R4, also known as Ky for short, and together with their small band of trusted rebels, they formed a solid plan to not only steal the Time Spark, but all the data that was used to create it.
The plan would have gone off without a hitch, except for the unforeseen demonstration that was secretly scheduled to take place the same evening; which had gathered many Council of Corporations for a private viewing. Unfortunately things quickly went sideways after only gathering 50% of the research materials and the Time Spark itself. In the heat of the battle, Meg and Ky managed to get their band of rebels and escape into a sealed hanger when the Time Spark activated. With a blinding *FLASH*, the hangar was left empty with the exception of a few scorch marks left by stray laser blasts.
Rewind to the present day. The Cybertech rebels have found themselves transported back in time, back to when the corporations that corrupted the world haven’t come into existence and Camellia is still magical and pure. While Meg and Ky weren’t able to save future Camellia in their time, they soon realized that from this time in the past, they could help prevent it from ever happening. Now the Cybertech Rebellion has transformed into the Cybertech Coalition, protecting the present from becoming the hellish future they once knew by introducing and policing how some of their advanced technology is distributed and utilized to create a brighter future for all.

The Celestial Temple had windows into the realms beyond its borders, and it is through these that Solis & Luna observed the gradual reappearance of the power of their fellow deity, Summanus. After millenia in slumber to heal terrible wounds, he was finally beginning to awaken. Neither of the Priestesses could predict how he would react to their current situation - living at peace with humans after years of their kind being subjugated beneath the very beings responsible for destroying their progenitor.
Like the weather, Summanus’s mood was ever shifting - he could start off cheerful and bright as a clear day, and quickly flip into a foul mood that loomed over him like an oppressive storm. His nature was to be unpredictable, and the Priestesses could only hope he’d be too overwhelmed to enter a rage.
Upon opening his eyes and taking in his surroundings, Summanus had been more like an overcast, misty morning - dull light in his eyes, and a mildly confused expression. He had some memory remaining from the great battle that took place before his slumber, a dark time he’d rather try to forget - a time they’d all like to forget, for it is a painful memory they share. The battle where the humans had won using their twisted agent of chaos, a being who perverted the very essence of nature into hateful destruction. The being whose creation caused their own progenitor to split, and cease to be.
As Luna and Solis recounted how history had unfolded in his absence, Summanus was displeased, though he grudgingly agreed to not stir up any trouble for their fellow Tea Unicorn or the humans that live alongside them in the mortal realm. A tenuous peace had finally settled with both species living as equals, let it remain that way.
Summanus did not agree to the request of remaining a guest in the Celestial Sanctum - it was a foreign location to him, the air was too still for his liking. His place was in the Aether Shrine - his city in the clouds, where only his Vestiges of the Air could live away from the land dwellers.
Solis & Luna agreed to let him return to the mortal realm, so long as he did not cause any unrest. And so Summanus made a promise to the Priestesses, and summoned all Vestiges of the Tempest to him and instructed them to help keep the peace between humans and Tea Unicorns - live among them, understand them, and give no cause for conflict.
With Summanus’s new missive, aethereal Tea Unicorns are now leaving the cloud city of the Aether Shrine, and entering into civilisation among other Tea Unicorn and peoples. The rumors of the Tea Unicorns in the clouds were true after all! These new Vestiges are Tempests, born of the sky and wind. The first curious arrivals can be found here:
With the appearance of the Tempest Vestiges, Willow, Annah and Loughead have all pooled their knowledge and research and have managed to recreate their innate magical properties into Potions and Brews for others to use. There will be an item in Annah's shop for individual traits, and a brew at Formalitea for those who wish to be imbued with this old magic. At the Nursery, Willow has procured a bell that can summon a Tempest Vestige (MYO).

A strong gale had been blowing ceaselessly across the land for weeks, bringing a sweet floral aroma and endless destruction of weaker structures along with it. The clouds rolled across the sky like an ocean, twisting into shapes and shifting colors in ways not often seen by mortals as natural phenomena.
Some have chalked it up to nature’s ever changing ways, but others believe this to be supernatural - after all, three other elements have behaved in unusual ways recently, what if the force that drove those is also behind the restless sky?
Some who have been diligently watching the sky to the east have reported seeing a cloud formation that seems to reoccur frequently - initially it was written off as another storm front, but there is a growing belief that the clouds are not moving at all. Even speculation that the clouds are shielding something from view, something that has been lost to time…
The Celestials were not the only Tea Unicorns to have a realm beyond the land where mortals could not hope to walk… There are tales of ancient Tea Unicorn that could melt into the clouds, even those that were said to be made from the heavens itself. Their breath could knock entire armies flat, and their wrath brought down the heavens might on any who crossed them. This is cited as one of the reasons humans sought to control and subjugate Tea Unicorns in antiquity, fear of the power of the ones able to control the elements. Fear of the primordial Vestiges.
Such Tea Unicorn who are one with the sky are so rare today that some believe they are extinct or even folktales, yet their traits appear to have been preserved until today - albeit, slowly diluted down to a form more palpable to mortals e.g. the Gift of The Pegasus potion that Annah can brew. Though reports of Tea Unicorn “turning into clouds” are becoming more frequent, so the previously accepted notion that they are extinct is slowly being contested. A few who have seen these Tea Unicorn have claimed they are connected to the unmoving cloud mass in the east, which was close to the sightings of these beings.
Everyone has been asked to remain vigilant, and to report any information to the Camellia University & Camellia Academy of Magic for further speculation and study.
