Where did Tea Unicorn come from?
No one knows yet the exact origins of Tea Unicorns - there is speculation that all Tea Unicorn are descended from the ancient Vestiges, other say we come from a lost Creator Deity, while others hold on to the human version - that they were are creators and we were meant to serve them. The latter option has fallen out of favor with recent uncoverings of old records, and the return of the Vestiges.
The recently uncovered history claims that Tea Unicorns were a very magical and powerful species who worshiped a pantheon of deities, the highest being a Creator deity now lost. Humans were jealous and scared of the magic the Unicorn possessed and decided to wage war, making a deal with a corrupt god to aid them. The war was long and terrible, and culminating in the Corrupted God killing the weakened Creator. The Creator sacrificed itself by pouring all magic from the world into the lesser deities, thus preventing the Corruption & humanity from accessing it, along with ending the war. This was known as The Break, and resulted in all lesser deities being put into a deep slumber to process the magic they now contained. This was a dark time in history for Tea Unicorns - without access to magic, many were subjugated to human rule and customs, and lost their own history and identity.
With the return of lesser deities awaking from their deep slumber, magic slowly began returning to the world and to the Tea Unicorn population at large.
Who are the lesser deities?
We believe we have an intact list of all of the lesser deities that served the Creator, but who knows? More could come to light in future - how exciting!
- Luna - Goddess of the Moon and Space
- Elaine - Goddess of the Sun and Sky
- Gaia - Goddess of Vegetation, Growth and Decay
- Cay - God of the Ocean and Water
- Vesper - Goddess of Earth and Fire
- Summanus - God of Wind and Storms
There are a few demigods that include Zenith, Umbra, Eclipse, Sariel, and Leviathan.
How long do Tea Unicorns live?
Tea Unicorns generally live for up to 200 years; though if we are imbued with more magic, we can live much longer. Magically proficient TU who make regular use of their innate magic have been noted to live longer than those who do not. Vestige Tea Unicorn have been recorded to live the longest out of all Tea Unicorn.
Can Tea Unicorns die?
Yes they can - we are not indestructible sadly. Our tea and glass are magical - wounds to anywhere else on the body will heal in time, but damage to the glass is permanent and requires immediate medical attention by specially trained Nurses, such as Mercy. Broken horns are the most common, as damage can be capped with metal. Damage to the middle and hooves is likely to be fatal without quick intervention. It is very hard to hurt the glass, and cannot be done through non-magical means.
Can Tea Unicorns have children?
Yes, though they must go to a Midwife for the process if they want "biological" children - our resident Midwife in Camellia is Willow. Please go to The Delivery Room for more information on Offspring. But all Tea Unicorn are able to adopt non-Offspring as their children.
Can Tea Unicorns have pets?

Do Tea Unicorns have magic?
Yes we do - as stated above, magic has been slowly returning to the world for sometime, and recently Tea Unicorn have been discovering inner magic that was dormant for many years. That said, we do not naturally possess shape shifting magic, that is only possible through the application of Alternate Forms - see Park over at The Haven Clinic for more info. Magical TU are monitored by Council of Magic, Ritual, & Anomalous Practices to make sure they can control their powers and are not a public threat. The Council has been the source of most of our recently revealed history, and monitors any unusual magical occurances.
