🍃 Anatomy differences --
👁️ TOP: The muzzle is more pronounced and not roman. The attached teeth are small like a keke's, but lacking fangs. There is no nose nor creases leading to it. There's a small feather tuft on the head. There are two pairs of antenna, one under the other. The uppermost pair has a visible ear opening at its base. There's a smaller pair of eyes in front of the "default" pair. There are no cheek holes. Instead, there's a line of skin about halfway down the mouth that connects both jaws. Each cheek has a large, mobile mandible on it in place of cheek pouches
💪 MID: The tread stops at the chest, not going up the neck. There's a reduced feather mane and a pair of smooth, fleshy wings. There are two sets of arms. Each are split into segments at the elbow and wrist. There is no shoulder segment. Rather than being lumpy over a large area, the feet have only a simple double-lump shape: one small and round that leads into one larger and pointier
🧦 LOW: There is a naga tail in place of hind legs. At the base of the tail, there is a feather tuft, within is nestled a tail pouch for nutrients. This pouch is relatively small, being between Xil newborn and young size. It has a vague teardrop-like shape and a visible seam
🍃 Color rules: 1 base color for the body. 2 accent colors. Accent A goes on feathers (head tuft, mane, tail tuft), antenna, and belly tread. Accent B goes on tail pouch, mandibles, insides, and inner ears. 2 eye colors. Eye A is the iris and eye B is the round pupil
🍃 Baby stuff: Optional tread color tingeing (works the same as belly color tingeing: a hatchling's face, tail tip, and/or limbs can be tinged the tread color. This can carry as far as halfway up each area)

🍒 Nauts are derived from the hybrids of Xilgenauts, left behind while their ancestors disappeared. Nauts (they were Hxils then) were left with few compatible mates other than their own kind. After centuries of this closed-off breeding, the Nautilus Demi became its own beast, going so far as to feature traits seen in neither of its once-parents!
🍒 The cheek mandibles are totally usable. They can extend to reach in front of the Naut's face, even holding food in place for them while they eat!
🍒 The secondary set of eyes as well as the doubling of arms and antennas seem to be random mutations, likely obtained hundreds of years ago
🍒 Nauts often keep the high-energy demeanor of Xilgenauts despite the distance they are removed. Nauts are quite active and aren't known to sit still for long
