🐱 Cattlepede Creation

Jump to: Newborn, Young, Adult

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular MYO rules apply with the exception of the following:
🌱 This type of PC must be obtained through an event or something similar. They are not open to make unless you've earned one!
🌱 Generally speaking, when playing a PC, replace "Snakekey" and "keke" with "PC" where applicable. For example, one of the creation rules reads: A keke must be created at the hatchling phase. Since you're not using a keke, you'd read this as: A PC must be created in the hatchling (/puppy) phase. Granted, this won't work or make perfect sense with all rules, but it should be enough to get by
🌱 Cattlepedes are a Xavierian species [🪐]

🌿 Infant 🌿A tiny infant Cattlepede curled on itself with its eyes closed

🍃 Cattle babies are called "fuzzscale infants" for their peculiar texture. They have fur, but it comes out from beneath a layer of smooth scales
🍃 Despite their large number of legs, these little guys tend to be largely immobile, waiting for bigger 'pedes to pick them up and carry them around (What?! It takes a lot to learn how to use all those legs, you know!)
🍃 Infants are not required for approvals! This is just info

🌿 Newborn 🌿A yawning newborn Cattlepede with its eyes closed

🍃 The Cattlepede is a genetic hybrid created by Skyblue Institute. Their genome consists of feline traits combined with those of Snakekeys, resulting in a highly intelligent (if not a bit silly-looking) creature. Their mental capacity is on par with that of Mudfins
🍃 Cattles are born with their legs at their full size. This can make them look almost reasonable at this age. Do not be deceived! They will get much tinier and sillier
🍃 Like Snakekeys, Cattlepedes have warm or cold blood. This isn't dictated by color and any 'pede can have either temperature
🍃 While heads are feline-like, they're quite wide with small, rounded muzzles and slit nostrils. They can have a slight uncanny vibe to them if you're not used to it!
🍃 The ears of Cattles are short and round. They have two upper snake-like fangs that protrude from their mouths (though aren't very visible at this age). They have a tiny fluff head crest and a big poof on their neck right below their chin. Most notably, the have many, many legs and run all the way down their bodies
🍃 For some reason, Cattlepedes lost their paw pads despite coming from two padded species. They just don't got em!

🌿 Newborn Creation 🌿The image guide for creating Cattlepede newborns

🍂 1: Lines > Draw the base for your new PC. Be sure to look at the anatomy examples here!
🍂 2: Base > Pick a base color. It can be any color as long as it's solid. Newborns don't have markings yet. If desired, the inner ears may be a darker or lighter color as long as the color used is the same type as the base (yellow ears for a yellow base, etc...). In addition, you can add optional baby stripes. Baby stripes are large, blobby markings that look like the ones on baby tapirs! They must be the same color type as the base, but can go anywhere on the body in any amount. They should be big and vague, not little and intricate! Stripes can have small dots coming off of them, though
🍂 3: Insides > One solid red, pink, or orange. This majorly colors the PC's tongue, blood, and mouth
🍂 4: Teeth > One solid white, cream, or grey for all teeth
🍂 5: Eyes > Eyes can be any color, but only one. By default, Cattlepedes do not have visible pupils.

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular aging rules apply
🌱 Cattlepede young and youth phases are lumped together into one for approvals. Once their young is approved, their youth is approved as well!

🌿 Young 🌿A young Cattlepede curled into an arch

🍃 As a 'pede grows, its legs will appear to shrink. This starts to look a little goofy at the young phase, but hasn't even reached its final form yet
🍃 Youngs may be a tad bit fluffier in the head crest and neck fluff, but much of the identifying features of this age come from maturity of features and, of course, their new markings
🍃 Like most baby-things, Cattles loose their baby stripes once they reach young. In theory, they're trading their newborn camo for their adult camo!
🍃 Cattlepedes will develop a keke's passion for art roughly 30-40% of the time - so, less than average. However, those that do delve into it are known to be quite proficient due to all those legs

🌿 Young Creation 🌿

The image guide for designing young Cattlepedes

🍂1: Lines > Start by drawing the base image for your PC. Be sure to follow the anatomy examples shown here
🍂 2: Base > PCs get their bases as newborns - this step is done and you can move on!
🍂 3: Color method > Choose a coloring method below
🌼Method A: Pick one color to make large, blobby patches on the base and 1 color to form rosette-like rings around them. Both colors can optionally form small freckles nearby larger markings. No gradients. Both colors must be the same type as the base (yellow marks for a yellow base, etc)
🌻Method B: 0-1 colors used to make hollow circles on the base. Can optionally add small freckles nearby bigger markings. No gradients. Added color must be the same color type as the base (purple markings for a purple base, etc)
🍂 4: Design > Design your PC with the colors you've chosen! Be sure you've removed baby striping if your PC had any - they've grown out of it!
🍂 5: Description > You're ready to post your PC! Please be sure to locate the form below, fill it out, and put it in the description
🍂 6: Submitting > Submit your finished image to the aging approval folder, which can be found here

🌿 Adult 🌿An adult Cattlepede smiling and slithering around

🍃 By adulthood, most Cattlepedes will slither rather than walk, using their legs only at choice moments due to how tiny they now are! Thanks to how many they have, they're still capable of holding themselves up with all those tiny beans, but it's oft faster to tuck 'em and wiggle
🍃 An adult's upper fangs are much longer than a baby's, protruding noticeably out of their mouths. For most builds, though, they don't pass the jawline
🍃 Cattles are known to be quite friendly (most of the time) and it's often socially acceptable to give them a couple pets in passing. You'd expect an intelligent being to be annoyed by pet attempts, but 'pedes were clever. They love pets and so they sneakily trained kekin that they should do it all the time. As a hello, as a goodbye, you name it. Evil genius
