Anatomy:

Panchiru are a medium sized, dog-like creature, they are about half the size of an average height human. They feature a set of large paws and short back legs. Their legs have 4 toes, one of which acts like a thumb for leverage as they're used in tandem with those large paws and claws to scale cave walls and dig tunnels. They have a high body temperature and thick coat, so they are capable of enduring harsh colds.

They are classified as Carnivorous, but do enjoy parts of certain plants, one of which acts like catnip to panchirus, often getting drunk off of it, it’s not dangerous to consume, but large amounts can knock them out temporarily.

While Mantsu have an affinity towards crystals and in some instances have magical capabilities, Panchiru have none. They do not have a connection to it like Mantsu do, and rely on their physical capabilities instead. Though they are not magically inclined they have adapted to using their fists and claws when the situation calls for it.

Behavior and Social structure:

Unlike their Mantsu counterparts, who function more like a flock of birds, Panchiru, much like their anatomy, can be compared to wolves. They function in packs majorly, but have been seen traveling alone sometimes. They have a rough exterior in their form and body language, but can be very sweet and compassionate once you get to know them. They are very protective, and will growl and show teeth if threatened. While Mantsu are pacifists, Panchiru are not afraid of confrontation and can even be seen starting fights between them. Should they find that they need to retreat, they will use all four limbs to make a speedy getaway.

There is no need for a Panchiru to wear clothes, due to their natural body heat, but still do so to fit in with their neighbors, the mantsu.

Environment:

Though once Panchiru lived in close-knit communities in arctic regions, they've since begun wandering into Mantsu territory, making their new homes underground when natural disasters have made their old habitat unlivable.

Though they cannot see in the dark, their sense of hearing and smell has adjusted to their new surroundings, allowing them to adapt when on the hunt or preparing for an ambush. As far as structures, they prefer to make their homes out of wood, mud, dried leaves and grass.

Subtypes:

Currently the only subtype of Panchiru known are Arctic, compared to the average Panchiru they have usually been found deeper in the arctic.
They generally grow longer and thicker fur to protect their neck and limbs from the cold.
