What goes into a Frankenhound?
A Frankenhound has six defining traits:

While not necessary, many Frankies also have Patches.
Let's view these traits (regular and variant) in more detail!
Detached Ears
✦ Frankenhounds have detached ears rather than attached ones. They float around the head and cannot be pulled far away from the body.
➢ Can be the ears of any animal
➢ Can be the antennae of any invertebrate
➢ Can be the fins of any aquatic animal

Nuts and Bolts
✦ Also known as Bolts, Bolts keep the ears attached to the head and help contain a Frankie's magic.

Must be made of metal

Can be any shape
➢
Can have multiple
➢
Can be found on locations other than the head

Charms and Charm Bases
✦ Similar to Bolts, Charms are seals that hang around a Frankie's head. The Charm Base refers to the metal portion that anchors the charm to the head.
✦ "Charm" can refer to both the charm+ base or just the paper charm.
Charm Bases
➢ Must be located above the chest
➢ Must be made of metal
➢ Can be any size or shape
Charm
➢ Must be made of simple fabric, paper, or string
➢ Can be any size or shape
➢ Can be painted, embroidered, multi-colored, and patterned
➢ Can be located anywhere around body
Variant: other materials, states of being, or living beings.
Variant: fewer or more than two charms.
Variant: Located below the chest.
Omen: damaged or torn charm.

✦ A Frankenhound's stitches help contain power and keep the body together. For a frankie, they are as natural as hair and can be repaired.

➢ Can have different patterns or colors

Patches
✦ Patches are superficial parts that help keep the body together. There is no difference between frankies with and without patches.
➢ Can have patches of common fabric.
➢ Can have patches of different skin
Variant: Specific fabrics (eg. leather, denim, silk), other materials, cybernetic parts.

Hellfire Tail
✦ Hellfire Tails are the source of a frankie's life and magic. The flame grows and shrinks respective to how much energy a frankie has.
➢ Must be a singular tail.
➢ Must be made of hellfire
➢ Must be detached from body
➢ Can be any shape
➢ Can be any color
➢ Can be multiple colors (gradient, two-toned, etc.)
Variant: other materials, states of being, or living beings (eg. a galaxy).
Variant: sentient.
Variant: suspended objects in tail.
EXAMPLES

Pawed Feet
✦ All Frankenhounds have pawed feet due to their hellhound lineage.
➢ Must based off of a pawed animal type
➢ Can be represented in any style

We've gone through regular and variant, but what are special traits?
Special traits defy conventional norm an occur when the stars align. It isn't easy to come-by a frankie with these traits.
