So this post is to inform you that a Kof was posted today. It's part of the regular Saturday offer-to-adopt series:
cheaper than the older auction designs, with a simpler art style, but still just as much love to go around :D
You can also purchase a full refsheet for an OTA Kofling at any time with Koins or euros, so that's neat!

On the previous bulletin, many people expressed interest in having more bulletins for community events. So you can easily tell from your notifications which kind of bulletin it is, a color-coding title system for Kofling bulletins has been introduced:
💚 = important notice (eg. guest designer applications open, rule changes, art exchange events)
🧡 = regular community event (eg. featured kofling, weekly prompt)
❤️ = Koflings available (eg. MYO slots open, DTAs/raffles, adoptables)

Secondly, take a look at the updated pages here on the Toyhouse world. I spent all day today making things run a little smoother, and more easy on the eye. For example, the "about" page which used to be one big wall of text!

There's also a brand new "events" page with three specially-made drawings to check out. Two of them can be seen in the brand new speedpaints section, found on the updated "resources" page. Less fun, but it's also worth checking out the slimlined TOS page and the updated "home". 

Do you know someone who might be interested in the species? Feel free to share the world with them! New members are always welcome, and building the community is the best reward of all. I'll soon be posting the first weekly events, which will go on their regular schedule (even outside of Kofling week). Add a vote to this bulletin's poll if you prefer a certain day for drawing events like those to start. They'll last at least a week, so the amount of time is the same, but I'd love to know when you're most active and likely to see the post.

Today, guest artist/designer applications for the species finally opened.

Secondly, I invested a whole lot of time in revamping and setting
up our new deviantart group. If you have dA, be sure to join!

There's also an ongoing auction and draw-to-adopt contest for you to check out!
Keep an eye out, since there will soon be an anonymous poll to pick the winner.

Finally, a super cute adopt was added to the pinglist after yesterday's stream.
There will be another one this week - you can get a stream notification role! :)

What’s this bulletin about?
It’s first and foremost an apology for getting people’s hopes up more than once that I would be getting (and keeping) the Kofling species active again. Unfortunately my previous attempts haven’t worked out, but the fact you guys still believed in me is really awesome. I truly appreciate your commitment to the species and your support for my attempts to keep it going. Secondly, however, this is also an announcement that I’m going to try again. Not just half-active, but the whole way (complete with those time-consuming bits like the currency and shop, and regular community events). But let me explain why I think it will be different this time…

What is the new plan?
For a week every month (most likely at the start) my focus will be on Koflings. During this time, I will create new adoptables, bring the masterlist up-to-date, release and assist in any MYO designs, update the figures in the Kofling Vault, and accept and complete Kofling commissions bought in the Mart. When community events are held, they will be during this week.
Outside of this time, my full focus will be on my regular work - taking commissions, doing (non-Kofling) custom designs and adopts, and making 3D models. I will be contactable, but slow to respond. Instead, the Kofling mods will be there to help!

How can we trust it will work?
I have had faith every time I’ve come back to work on Koflings, and this is no different. What is different however is the consistency. Until now, I have dived into working on the species whenever I’ve felt passionate about it, and worked incredibly hard in an unsustainable fashion. Passion alone isn’t enough to run a species. This time, I am relying on a fixed schedule to keep me coming back - and by dedicating most of my month to other work, I will be able to maintain a steady income and satisfy my interest in other areas of art. By finally introducing volunteers to help, you no longer have to rely solely on myself. A small amount of the workload will be shared - for the community, by the community. Hopefully, this will mean less burnout and a longer life for the species! 18+ and interested in helping out? Click here! Of course, this revival relies on there being folks able and willing to lend their time to the cause - if mod hiring doesn’t work out, I will announce within a month that the species may have to stay shelved for now.

How will this affect me as a Kofling owner?
New hands on deck will mean there are folks who can help with questions and organising events. A regular schedule means the species will be slowly, but steadily, brought back to life. An announcement will be made when the Kofling week begins (this whole business isn’t going to happen overnight, but I will do my best to start the scheme in August) and you can then expect at least one adoptable auction as well as any potential MYO slot releases, custom designs, and events. Get ready to engage in the world of Koflings again!

Hey everyone! It's Day 2 of the big relaunch, and today comes with even more exciting stuff!

With the big relaunch of the species today, we’ve been working on something big that has been in the works ever since the start! Introducing…

🪙 THE KOFLING KOIN! 🪙

The new official currency of this community, Kofling Koins (KK) are earned by winning prizes, participating in events,
being super active or creative in the forums, drawing other Koflings*, and, rarely, simply rewarded as tokens of gratitude
to especially kind or helpful members. You will get a special alert message whenever you’ve gained a Koin.
They can be used to purchase MYO slots, enter exclusive events, and much more. Check out the store here!

To keep track of how many koins everyone has, a somewhat fancy-schmancy spreadsheet has been created (it even has formulas!)
with a nice simple version available for anyone to view and check how much currency they’ve collected, called The Vault.
This will be automatically updated whenever you earn or spend anything, so don’t worry about keeping a record!

If you would like to participate in the currency, leave a comment and your username will be added to the Vault as soon as possible!
Of course, it’s a rather empty vault right now, but Koins will start appearing across the Kofling realm -
they’ll soon stack up, since there are plenty of events on the horizon! Thank you for sticking around :)
