About Howltars

What are howltars?
Howltars are known as constellation bird creatures - the children of the Faraway Star from a cosmic calls Ursa Coast. These birds are independent creatures and standing on top of the most intelligent being on the cosmic. There are 4 different kinds of howltar: pip, snake, merhowl, and dragon.

The mask and stardust are the best way to recognize them. Fun fact about the stardust, it acts differently based on a howltar's emotions (for example: the stardust flickers quickly when the howltar experiences a strong emotion, or less when they are upset).

Howltars exist in various of forms and shapes. They have the ability to achieve great things with great personalities. Furthermore, the most important thing for howltar is bonding.
According to the history, there was a war between Pip and Snake because of the differences between them (based on how Snakes are bigger than Pips and the Snakes used that for their advantage). However, a hero from both lands came and solved the problems, which they were able to convince the two kinds made an agreement that from then on both species would live in peace and build the world together in harmony. Pips and Snakes have been co-exist for thousands of years now.
Dragons are the rarest kinds of all Ursa Coast, which they are not to be seen regularly like Pips and Snakes. The Dragons were known as only mythical creatures until hundreds of years later, the mighty Astra - the first Dragon appeared on top of the Tree of Life along with her Pip - Flinkito the news deliver, where they called upon Pips and Snakes in order to unite together in one spot to witness a new beginning of the howltar era.

Life cycle of a howltar

- An newborn egg takes around 3 weeks before it hatches into a hatchling. Hatchling is a vulnerable baby, covered in the soft features and cannot fly in this stage, which they need a lot of protection from the parent(s). Hatchling is completely furless/featherless

- During 10 years growing up, the hatchling becomes a howlet, which is also known as a "juvenile howltar". They start to grow a bit of fur/feather out of their skin. At this stage, howlet begins to learn how to fly, however they still need parental management.

- To become an adult, it takes up to 30 years for the howlet, which they finally grow into a howltar and full of fur/feather. Adult is free to take on the world on their own and start their new adventure!
- The Snake's cycle of life is similar to the pip but their life span is much longer than the pip

- Dragon howltar is immortal. However, when a dragon reaches their limit, they migrate to a floating island (or is known as The Dragon's Paradise) and puts themselves to sleep for years. As the time comes, the dragon awakes and returns to Ursa Coast.

- Stardust is a way to know whether the howltar lives or not. Once it's gone, their body starts to turn into hundreds of stardust and form a star in the sky, becomes one with the universe.
