Basic Galacticat Lore

Galacticats are beings made up purely of stardust and cosmic energy. They are commonly referred to as the spirits of shooting stars- and all are born with the ability to grant wishes. Wishes intended for "good" will energize them, but "bad" wishes will drain them, and can even cause them to fall ill if they grant too many. Galacticats are naturally gifted in all kinds of magics, though very few are able to learn several types.

Galacticats can range in size from a teacup sized cat to the equivalent of a small wildcat, though most average out at a size slightly smaller than the average housecat. All Galacticats have hair and tails made of wispy stardust commonly referred to as clouds. Rarely a Galacticat may have extra stardust on parts of their bodies or extra limbs (such as wings) made from it. Galacticats' clouds are semi-solid and can be styled like hair.

Galacticat Builds

Galacticats come in four different subtypes called builds, which can determine the traits they have.

Corruption

If a Galacticat grants too many harmful wishes, over time, they will dull and corrupt. Corrupt Galacticats are strange and terrifying to the citizens of Constellatia; they have blank, colorless eyes, clouds filled with static, and their fur always stands on end. It seems like nearly all of the color has drained from them, and they almost seem to fade in and out of existence. Corrupted Galacticats are incapable of granting wishes made by pure hearts, and most have forgotten who they used to be entirely. The corruption of Galacticats is attributed to the dark matter deity, known by his followers as simply the Dark Deity, who was the first Galacticat to become corrupt.

Galacticat Reproduction

Galacticats reproduce by mixing their stardust together to form a new life. Once the dust is mixed, it becomes a shapeless multi-colored blob that will soon develop into a Galactikit! Galactikits are much smaller than their adult counterparts. Their clouds always release wisps of stardust, due to them not having enough control over their magic to keep them fully shaped all the time. They always have closed eyes, as well as large front paws and small back paws.
