Galactic Year 920

Planetary File: Nebulous B1390 "Enertia"

Status: Homeworld Exo Planet

A small planet located in the area of NGC 1435, orbiting the star Merope. Home to energy based life forms. The planet has two satellites, moons Novacta and Felidae. Sky appears to change color depending on planet's orbit. Planet is tidal locked, darkened side unexplored. Main continent is peak for activity, surrounded by small island chains. Water temperatures seem fairly similar to other Exoplanets.

More research to be done.

Geography

The planet Enertia is mainly water. One large continent rests along the planet’s equator, along with several small island chains surrounding it. The main convenient, otherwise known as Synoda, is the peak for activity. Synoda is lined mostly by sandy beaches, tapering off to more rocky cliff sides towards the north. The northern side of the land is covered in a vast plain. Just south of the plains is a mountain range surrounded by forest. In the south lies more forests, as well as the capital city. A great river flows through the land from the mountain springs, tapering off to the ocean in the south and west. On either pole of the continent are snowy plains and islands. A vast desert sits in the center of the land.

The skies of Enertia are known to change color depending on the time and place. In the north, skies are an icy blue during the day and darken as night falls. In the east the sky is a pale red, fading to deep purple as night falls. In the west the skies are a spring green, that mixes with blue when night falls. Finally, in the south, the sky is a pastel yellow, fading into the orange of an Earth sunset as night falls. Stars light up the sky day and night on Enertia, and once the day is done the planet’s twin moons rise on opposite sides of the sky.

Landmarks

Perigee City is the capital city of Enertia, located in the mid south of Synoda. The biggest celebrations for the land’s grant festivals take place in the city, and it is known to have both Enertians and off planet members of the Galactic Alliance to frequent it. Many important organizations for Enertia are based in Perigee City, including the Festival Committee and Offworld Travel Agency.

The Nursery is just northwest of Perigee City, in a forest grove near the tip. The Nursery serves as both a hospital and orphanage. Orphaned Galactikits and Fluxkits live at the Nursery until they are adopted or old enough to go off on their own, and are cared for by the Enertians that live there. A walled off section near a small waterfall is reserved for the birth of new Galactikits and Fluxkits.

The Seeing Stones a little ways northwest of the Nursery, are a collection of beautiful stones rested in the bed of a shimmering lake.  Lake Bolide, like the other major lake in Synoda, is known to have mystical powers. Similar to a wishing well, if one were to leave an offering of Novacs to the lake spirits, they will grant them a small blessing.

Starfall Springs, located in the mountains, is a small collection of pools and geysers surrounding Lake Ganymede. This lake is known for the relaxing and healing properties of it’s water. Starfall Springs has a peculiar resident, living in a little cottage on a small island in the middle of the lake, known for using the spring water to whip up useful and unusual potions.

The Volcano of Lost Wishes is defined by a rather small chain of islands north of Synoda, the largest of which is almost entirely an active volcano. The area is listed as the most dangerous place on the light side of the planet, a place where only fully trained explorers are allowed to go. It’s rumored that a great treasure lies at the heart of the mountain, but that anyone unworthy of the treasure would never return.

The Four Villages are the second largest hubs of activity on the planet. The mountain village of Corvus, in tune with the element of air, the seaside village of Hydra, in tune with the element of water. In tune with fire, the village of the desert, Draco. And the highland village of the earth, Lepus. Each village has it’s own unique way of life, though they are mostly unknown to anyone who doesn’t live there themselves.

Lunar Island is a snowy island located near the north pole of Enertia. It is home to a menagerie of rare wildlife and plants, and is a popular travel area for medicine makers, magicians, and researchers.

Southwild Island is a similar island near the south pole. A snowy, icy, expanse holds valuable resources for scientists and archaeologists. Southwild Island is home to the strange Fluxfox village of Baryon.
