Traits

NOTE: This trait sheet is constantly being reworked here and there for clarifications. Please read 'Design Notes' for more informations.

Basic:

Watakuma is a type of demon who made a contract with a Mofumofu, an unknown cotton candy-shaped being. This happens when the demon is too weak to survive on its own and needs to rely on external forces to stay alive.

A Mofumofu has characteristics that allow the demon to gain life sources off sugar, which is easier than having to hunt prey everyday. It lives off its host body like a parasite would. The Mofumofu control the demon’s mind, which in turn controls their body.

These are the basic traits every Watakuma possesses

Akuma is the demon trait that is still retained. The more demon features a Watakuma has, the more dominance the demon has over their body.

Mofumofu is the parasite living inside the animal ears. Every Mofumofu are unique and has a personality of its own.

Because the demon inherits the animal characteristics from the Mofumofu, the Mofu often match the Kemono.
There are rare cases where a Watakuma has multiple or completely different Mofumofu, and it only occurs with Crystallized rarity due to their endurance.

There are various reasons as to why this happens:

  • One Different: a Watakuma is strong enough and decides to house another Mofu. It can be to gain more power, or just out of pity.
  • All Different: the Demon succesfully taken over the dominance over their body, the original Mofu is lost, but the Kemono remains. The Demon decides to house other Mofumofu, resulting in a mismatched appearance.

The reasons can vary between the host and the parasite, but these are the most commonly seen.

Kemono is the animal characteristics given by the Mofumofu. The kemono usually appears through the ears and tail, but can also include the feet and hands. They are gained from the Mofumofu and are believed to help them track down food sources (sugar) more easily.

Amai is the sweets toppings commonly seen on their head and kemono. The more types of sweets a Watakuma have, the stronger they are becoming!

Forms:

IMG_1205.png

This is an optional form and you are not required to include it!

Fuwafuwa, also called Fuwa Form, is a Watakuma's energy conserving state.
Although Watakuma usually try to avoid this since they dislike being merged together.

In this state, the demon host and the Mofu parasite will form a small entity. It appears as cotton candy with demon features.

Note: In the case of multiple Kemono and Mofumofu, the Fuwa form will take form of the most dominant trait (usually the host) or a mixture of everything.
You can take creative liberty with it!

  • Crystallized: one different, all different
(for crossbreed, for example bunny x dog, this trait must be something completely different, like monkey or cat)

Design Notes:

Guidelines:

  • Crystallized slot will allow you to use ANY trait for unlimited amounts.
  • A Watakuma needs 3 or more Crystallized traits for it to be considered Crystallized rarity!
  • A Watakuma must have a demon tail AND an animal tail, although it can merge in rare cases like mouses (for aesthetic purposes)
  • In the case of multiple animal tails, the default for Akuma will still be one tail, anymore is crystallized trait.
  • Animals are Mammals-only due to this species being kemonomimi.
  • Your MYO does not have to be cutesy themed. Any other themes are allowed as long as they have the traits.

Guidelines:

  • Digital or Traditional art. Must be colored
  • Fullbody. Normal, chibi, base are fine (with proper credits)
  • Turning a pre-exisiting OC or Design with the CS AU is allowed (with the designer's permission)
  • No canon characters and problematic themes (nazi, pedo, etc).

Submit your MYO through the MYO Approval Station or through ourDiscord server.
