"Don't bother with them, Raz. You've done well; I think so. They don't care about us at all. Just keep doing a good job and we'll keep having a roof over our heads. But I promise you that I am proud of you.."
- Aleksis (Older brother)
Rasputin was born in Russia, with an older brother that seemed to care about him the most. Their parents, on the other hand, were often careless and semi-neglected their own children for their own personal happiness. Their children were almost never involved.
Viktor, when he was in elementary, was a talented and superb student. He always came home with recognition from his parents and his peers, but his parents never had the interests of his success. They claim they were lazy to acknowledge his hard work and it was apparent to the young Ivanovsky that they weren't supportive of his dreams.
"I don't care about what you do in school. We leave you be, then you should leave us be. Be happy that you have a place to live here instead of the streets. You could die there!"
- Viktor's Parents
After Viktor's older brother left the house to live somewhere else, he was left alone with his parents and their relationships strained quite quickly. Despite that he knew if his parents' little interests of his progress in life; he continued to try to impress them. From have aces in his tests, to becoming a prodigy in the cello, to winning a reward in the subjects of literature. His parents never felt pleased... but more often they simply did not care.
Because of his favoritism by many of the teachers in his school, he was considered an outcast among his classmates. Thus he rarely made any friends and most of the people he conversed with throughout high school were the teachers that guided and gave advice to throughout his higher education years.
Wanting to take any opportunity to leave his parents' house, he moved out soon after he graduated highschool. Despite all the opportunities to further his education, stopped schooling to go straight to work so that he can pay off his living situation.
"An unfortunate man, you truly are. But you are no longer Rasputin now. Leave all of this behind and become a man that everyone looks up to. You've sought nothing but happiness to your daughter, and I'm sure she would wish the same for you. Not only you're an excellent father - you're an excellent teacher."
- Maximille.
Eventually the young man quit his job after a few more years to enter college. Even after he left high school, he was constantly striven to study and learn more and more about his country and about his world. Everyone that taught Rasputin held him to such high regards and it only gained the attention of gentleman who was insistent in making him become a member of the Prodigal. And since his upbringing as a member of this organization, only brought him dozens of success. One of his biggest ones was that he became renown author with several bestselling books. And many of his series were branching out to several places: plays, movies, TV series, animations. Many of these adaptations were brought to life. Although... his identity of an author was more likely brought to the public until Rasputin's life turned into shambles from the death of his first daughter.
Ivanovsky, married just before he was introduced into the Prodigal. Soon after, they had a daughter. He fell in love with his wife's affection, when Rasputin truly needed it most, but he didn't realize how far her obsession was after the first few years with their baby.
When he came back home from a public press with his newest novel... he came home from his wife's psychotic obsession and murderous attempt.
And his three-year old died from the hand of its mother.
Out of pure rage, Ivanovsky - who he put all of his love and joy to his only daughter - struck a blow on his wife. After being sent to the hospital, he immediately turned to his mentor Maximille for help. Though, even if Maximille was there to help him, all the motivation to help him get back up to write left him instantly. Soon enough, his wife that was hospitalized never woke up and was announced dead - leaving the public eye with many questions regarding it.
But with the help of the Prodigal, he was able to stay away from those who wanted to know about his whereabouts. And all of the work he put into writing was paused... for who knew how long. Because of the recent events, he couldn't put the motivation to write anything. Thankfully everyone lost interest and the famed Ivanovsky was eventually forgotten to most active readers. Maximille thought this would have been a good opportunity to turn to another alias - to which he renamed himself Viktor Konstantinov and turned to what he might liked doing to the rest of his life: Teaching.
Because of former teachers who sung nothing but praises, alongside his projects and history, he was offered to become a University Professor in the United States. Despite he was a new professor, many students he taught for the first few semesters had nothing but smiles on his their faces though the end of their course. Viktor, hesitant at first, now understands the importance of his students' successes and works endlessly to help them enjoy college at its fullest... while seeking for any potential man or woman to take into the Prodigal under his wing.
