Growing up with a changeling for a father wasn't easy. It took him a while to realize that not everyone is a changeling, nor are changelings widely accepted as citizens of Equestria.

During his childhood he came across a filly named IcyTouch. She was the apple of his eye, up until late teens, when she bluntly refused him. Since then, he's been a bit more reserved, sticking to humble methods of protecting ponies.

He may not be the most confident pony, but when ArcticStar gets into trouble, he is suddenly very courageous and stubborn.

His build and colors precisely match that of his father, which does wonders on the ponies around them. They do in fact get mixed up for each other, but usually ArmoredIce is the one ponies think to be different.

No matter what happens, you cannot hide emotions from a changeling, and whether he likes it or not, his father always his back.
