GABE ICH

Gabe is someone you don't want to hang out with unless you're either just like him, or you have a death wish. He thrives in dark humor, hatred, and has a very toxic, warped version of ''normal'' that he believes everyone should participate in. If someone isn't ''normal'' in his eyes, he makes it known to that person or to himself that they're not worthy of anything and they're gonna grow up regretting how they were as a teenager.

Projecting and lying are 99% of his vocabulary, he gets by in school by lying about almost everything about himself so if anybody starts hating him, it doesn't feel like a true attack on his character. Then again, he still gets butthurt about it. It's almost impossible to make Gabe genuinely smile or laugh or anything, as the shell he built for himself is as tough as nails to break through, but it's not impossible to break him down. You just need to hit him where it hurts, aka, finding out his true feelings.

As Gabe began to grow up and understand the world he lived in, he slowly began to discover himself. From as long as he could remember, he knew that the world was divided into two categories; blessings, and curses. Some Eminences could help people, some could help the Eminence holder, but when Gabe was given his Eminence, it only brought him pain, fear, but most of all, humiliation. A curse. He'd rather be a lackie than have an Eminence at all.

When Gabe first discovered his Eminence, it wasn't a celebration at all. He was with a good friend of his, a little boy his age named Jack, and they were having a sleepover at Jack's house. Gabe kept finding himself smiling as he glanced over at his friend, butterflies in his tummy. This is how a friendship felt like..... right? However, as the more butterflies and happy thoughts appeared, so did this weird, aching nausea at the pit of his stomach. Soon, the pain would travel up through his neck, until eventually he had to run to the bathroom to puke. He didn't truly puke. As Gabe looked into the toilet bowl, an absence of puke was then replaced with flower petals... specifically, red rose petals. Gabe panicked, but that made him sicker. He heaved again, expecting puke once more but was met with a pile of rose petals in his hands.

Gabe called his parents, and they drove him home. Away from Jake, away from the rose petals in the toilet.

His parents sat him down, along with his brother, to explain what an Eminence truly was and what responsibilities it held. His mother, specifically, has an Eminence that allows plants to grow in her hands, but only ones she's planted in her garden. She explained that because of her Eminence, it must've been passed down to Gabe. Gabe didn't like his Eminence, why couldn't he control where the flowers came from like his mother? Why did they come from his stomach rather than his hands? Why did it only happen around his best friend?? His parents assured him that he'd learn how eventually, that this was temporary, but it wasn't. Anytime Gabe became too close to Jack, or had that familiar butterfly feeling in his stomach, he'd run and hide to puke up the rose petals. Jack couldn't see, what if Jack blamed himself? What if he couldn't control it anymore? His feelings for Jack were growing too painful to bear, so... Gabe stopped hanging out with him. Jack told him how much it hurt him, he didn't know what he did wrong but Gabe couldn't tell him, he *wouldn't* tell him. How could he tell his male friend that he liked him so much, he puked flowers?? It was embarrassing, it made Gabe feel so weak and vulnerable. He had to keep it inside.

To cope with this new Eminence, he decided that being alone was better than being in pain. If he pushed everybody away by force, nobody would hurt him. At least... not because of his Eminence.
