Physical Appearance
Has a fairly similar appearance to that of a standard Gardevoir, but Mercutio's "hair shape" is a little less smooth and round shaped and a little more rigid. The red horn sticking out of his chest curves up in a V shape instead and looks kind of like a popped collar, and his "skirt" looks more like a flowing coat. He generally looks a little more prickly than a typical Gardevoir, and he doesn't appreciate being mistaken for a female just because he's not a Gallade. His voice is surprisingly deep though, so it's not a mistake made frequently as long as he speaks first.
Personality
Mercutio has a relatively deadpan and aloof personality. He gets along the best with Kit out of the other Pokemon, but he's regarded as the most intelligent of Red's Pokemon. For that reason, Red tends to go to him for more complicated advice, and Mercutio always makes sure to be aware of their surroundings at all times to ensure Red's safety. He is very perceptive to the feelings of others and can read others' auras from afar due to his Psychic abilities, and he is likely the most sensible and level headed of the team. Despite this, Mercutio will frequently push himself beyond his limits to ensure victory and safety for Red in times of danger. He is a bit too serious on the surface, but he has a pretty mellow personality in general and is pretty chill when there are no threats around. Even though he's a little blunt with his words, he's well liked by his team since he's clever and offers good advice.

Backstory
Mercutio was the last of Red's team of six that he acquired. Red's father took him as a young Ralts from the shipments of smuggled Pokemon intended to be used for his colleagues Pokemon Clone experiments, and he gave the Ralts to his son to prevent it from being a part of the experiments. Mercutio has always been very close with Red and his family due to this, and he has dedicated his entire existence to ensuring Red's safety.
Trivia:
- Mercutio is not a Fairy type Pokemon since he was "made" before the Fairy type was introduced when the Ralts evolutions were all just purely Psychic types. I think it's fair to say that it's a regional thing why he's not a Fairy type.
- He is also not a Gallade because I made him before Gallades were introduced to the games.
- All of Red's Pokemon except for Kit are named after characters from Romeo and Juliet. Red's Gardevoir was chosen to be Mercutio since that character ends up dying in a dual on Romeo's behalf. In a parody version of the play featuring my Pokemon characters (titled "Row Me Over to Juliet"), Red plays as Romeo, and Mercutio ends up getting knocked out in a Pokemon battle against the Pokemon trainer/his team representing Tybalt.
- Red's Skarmory named Tybalt ironically does not play the role of Tybalt.
- I felt it was appropriate since Gardevoir's Pokedex entries sometimes mention it will risk or give its life to protect its trainer.
- Even though Mercutio is seen to be one of the most, if not the most, mature out of all of Red's Pokemon, he's actually the youngest out of all of them.
- He's also the only one on Red's team that is not from Orre. He was likely smuggled in from the Hoenn region.
