On an eternal camping trip
Aveley is one of the mages who mastered every single aspect of magic, but unlike most of these mages he actually worked as a full god. Not a household name, but in powers he had what it took to be a god and he was known in his local province.
He always had a strong attunement to nature, but in past years decided to go back to his roots and retire to live with his badger friends in the woods. He now travels around with his plethora of animal companions, seeking to aid those who are lost in every sense of the word.
Aveley is an Ashen man standing remarkably small for his race and gender at 154cm or 5'1. His body has a slender and lean build, and despite a small amount of fat around the legs, chest, and face, he only weighs about 45kg or 100lbs. He shows some muscle in his arms and chest, but the rest is lean, with notably flat hips and a triangular build. His skin is a very dark grey in colour and like most demons, he has an arrowheaded tail.
His face lies about his age; despite being an older adult he looks youthful, almost like a young adult, from simply having large amber eyes, a fine nose, and a mouth that never fails to boast a wide and satisfied smile. The only sign of his age lies in the wrinkles that form around his mouth. He has a thin chin, a smooth jawline, and round cheeks. He has pointed ears and from the top of his skull sprout two pointy horns that form an s-shape. His teeth are slightly pointed.
His hair is extraordinarily soft and has a slightly wavy texture. He's a ginger bordering on a more peachy pink hair colour and he carries his hair loose at higher back length. The bangs that hang over his ears are collected into thick strands and bound with hemp rope at their one and two third points. Touch his hair, he'll love that!
He never wears clothing besides the plants he weaves into crowns, tail ornaments, and necklaces. Every picture he appears in just happens to have a convenient leaf flying by.

If he does wear clothing, it's usually scarves and sweaters made from materials harmlessly harvested from his animals.
Among his plethora of pets he notably owns two badgers named Fuzz and Snoot, a Komondor named Locks, and a Lincoln sheep named Russel which he uses for wool. That isn't to say he doesn't have hundreds of other badgers that follow him where he goes, but these four are his darlings. He used his magic to make these creatures ageless so that they may be by his side for the rest of his eternal camping trip.
He didn't gain his youthful looks by aging well; he did use his magic to better preserve his appearance as he grew older since he prefers to look like he did as a young adult and feels this appearance fits him better. It's the magical equivalent of watching what you eat and staying healthy to stay youthful longer. He doesn't use his magic to make himself taller as he doesn't want to actively alter who he is, he feels it adds to his personality's part of who he'll always be, and it brings him closer to his badgers.
Definitely is a vegan because he can no longer convince himself to let anything with feelings die to become his meal. He technically doesn't even need to eat anymore anyway, so when he eats it's meat free dishes prepared purely for maximal enjoyment.
He was neither born into a nudist culture nor did he ever come into contact with one. When he embarked on his eternal camping trip, he decided that he would feel closer to the outdoors if he shedded his clothes and only focused on smaller accessories when he felt like it. As a man who has no laundry at all (besides a few hundred badgers to wash), he is objectively happier.
Between his travelling sessions, he builds out small farms and a place to stay for a few months or years to live at. He grows his own vegetables and plants, and when he's ready to travel again leaves them behind in case it can help any other travellers on their journey.
Fuzz & Snoot ✦ Best pets in the world
Fuzz and Snoot are the two badgers Aveley befriended first, before all the others were around. They were in his backyard and he accepted them in his life. This happened even before he decided to leave society behind. They warmed up to him over time, partially and probably due to the fact that they couldn't really get away from him.
It's rare to see Aveley without these two within three meters of him. Usually he's carrying them around or they're following him like he's their mother. They love him back and never really leave his side.
Locks ✦ Good boy
Locks is one of the animals Aveley met in the wild. He was on the move already together with Russel, so Aveley decided to take them both along. He wasn't completely aware that Locks was a dog at first, that revelation came soon after he adopted him.
He is less close to Aveley than Fuzz and Snout are and prefers to be around Russel, but he has his moments where he enjoys lying on Aveley's lap and sleeping next to him. It's most common when both him and Russel are smothering their owner.
Russel ✦ Darling pet sheep
Russel became Aveley's pet sheep after he discovered her together with Locks in the wild and took both of them in. She was more shy towards him and his badgers at first, but eventually got accustomed to them as Locks trusted them and showed he was safe.
It took several years before Aveley realised Russel was not a ram, but an ewe when she got fat over the months and one day there were lambs following her. It didn't change much, except that he now knew Russel wasn't the most appropriate name. It was still a nice name so he kept it. He regularly uses her for wool, both for her upkeep and to create tools and sometimes clothing accessories for colder periods.
