Oliver "Heron" Hastings

Background

Like a lot of kids in this wartorn city, Heron grew up fast. Fortune smiled on him enough to have food, but not enough to keep out of drugs and delinquency. By 16 he was on his own, a full-blown addict with nothing to live for, and was busted for petty theft. His time in juvie was his first involvement with the Revachol Citizens Militia--as an alternative to more punishment, he was offered a path of redemption--recruitment--and he took it. It was, in his opinion, far more benevolance than he deserved. He's never been good with people, but his dogged devotion to The Force more than makes up for it. He hopes.

Mere weeks after his 20th birthday, and freshly promoted to real RCM Officer™, Hastings is so so so eager to prove himself to his partner and the force and the world. He has been given responsibility and power: He is THE LAW and he will cleanse the filthy streets of Revachol and/or die trying 😤

...If there is hope for him, there has to be hope for this city too.

Appearance:

Implausibly tall considering the diet of an average revacholian youth, and apparently incapable of expressing emotion with his voice or face. His hair is shaved close to his skull since all things he doesn't need for being an Instrument Of The Law are irrelevant. Bone structure belies how weak he actually is—under that (immaculate 😤) uniform he's skinny and unpleasantly shredded overtraining and under-feeding. Has a weird sickliness about him, but don't worry about it.
