Sherman

an ancient high elf, once an influential figure in alfheim. sherman was in the lower courts of elves together with daenyris, an unassuming but highly valued job. he had a reputation for being a levelled and calm leading figure, but no amount of composure could have prepared him for the decisions from the higher-ups. when alfheim’s hottest trend became the enslavement of fauns, and the high courts did nothing, sherman immediately severed all ties with the court in pure disgust. he has not taken too kindly to high elves since the event.

sherman has been living leisurely since, content with the court’s collapse soon after his departure. he has been lonely however, unable to find a place for himself among humans, where he would much prefer to be accepted as one of their peers rather than a mystic being to be worshipped. few high elves were as humble as he, but his loneliness was taken away when he stumbled not only upon janine, but also later, upon his wife. the witch, janine, told him of her marvelous project, and he was all too enthusiastic to help. his magic prowess and influence allowed the project to gain many more powerful allies, and, well... he also found his wife, a Mother of apple tree dryads, tending to her withering daughters in an impoverished forest, set aflame for the sake of agriculture. he could sympathize with her, somewhat, and she couldn’t bring it in her heart to deny a man so thoroughly deserted.

now, sherman, his wife, and their countless children live happily and in peace in fogmere, where only she gets to see the gentle smile of this tall and intimidating old man.
