Profile

Ezra Von Ehre
Fallen Aasimar Oathbreaker

A towering 6’6” and decked in gilded armor, Ezra Von Ehre has quite the indomitable presence. His dashing, gold-tinged skin reflects light almost as well as the polished plate he wears, and is complimented by matching auric eyes; behind which persists a dark and haunting presence. Luminous gold hair peppered with streaks of white frames his face along with a neatly trimmed (yet slightly disheveled) beard. There is a lingering tiredness about him... an ominous air that there is more to this man than meets the eyes... and gods forbid you gaze into his.

Lieutenant Colonel Ezra Von Ehre was once a respected paladin and veteran soldier. Unfortunately, his power and skills were drained when he lost his wife in a devastating war and attempted an extremely risky revivification. Her body was too destroyed to revive, so her spirit entered Ezra and now he is inhabited by two souls -- his, and his wife's -- which is very slowly killing him. This has driven Ezra to the brink of insanity. He rejects his previous piety, and talks openly to his dead wife's spirit... which often comes across as bizarre and cryptic rambling.

Once a lawful good paladin, Ezra no longer holds any respect for the law. He views it as a futile enterprise, as everyone exists impermanently and death is inevitable, no matter the cause.

His wife, Rumor, was a snow-white tabaxi with medium-length fur and powder blue eyes. Before meeting her untimely death, she was an accomplished divination wizard and brilliant military strategist. In life she and Ezra shared much in common: a sharp mind, a clever wit, and a classy air. Unfortunately, after her death and the subsequent merging of her soul into his body, Ezra completely lost his mind.

While his brain and body continue to deteriorate due to her soul’s unwelcomed presence, Rumor’s mental faculties remain in tact; and she laments the slow and miserable loss of her husband. Ezra often speaks to her, though she cannot communicate outside of his mind.

Values – Fine art, poetry, music, and vengeance.
