Born from the unholy union between the powerful demon Mara and renowned Arcane Academy headmaster Tupelo Black, Ofier Ossiri is one of the most innately powerful sorcerers the world has ever known... if only he would dedicate himself.

Residing in the desperate desert kingdom of Hārūn, Ofier's mother, then known only as Mara, was revered as a stunningly beautiful and ferociously powerful demon. Despite her infernal lineage, Mara was not a cruel demon... merely a calculating one. Preferring the warm, humid sands of Hārūn to the wasteland of her accursed realm in the second circle of hell, Mara made herself quite comfortable in the kingdom, never bothering to hide her visage from the locals.

Over the decades she provided many services to the people of Hārūn, granting wishes in exchange for coin, rare oddities, and ancient artifacts. It was not long before she became a pillar of the community... a strange status to hold as an infernal. Coming to enjoy her presence more and more (along with the tourism she brought to the kingdom, as many traveled far and wide for her services), the residents of Hārūn gifted her with the title of Mara Ossiri, or Golden Mara.

Eventually word of this unusual female demon reached overseas, where it caught the attention of one of the most renowned spell-casters in the world. It was in this manner that Mara Ossiri came to meet Tupelo Black.

Having heard tales of Mara's impressive rise to power within the kingdom of Hārūn, Arcane Academy headmaster Tupelo Black was overcome by the desire -- nay, obsession -- to utilize the demon's power for his own dark purposes.

Teleporting directly into Mara's oasis home, Black did not bother hiding his intentions. He wanted a child, suggesting that their union could potentially result in one of the most innately powerful beings in the world.

It was an unusual request, but recognizing the man's raw magical prowess Mara found herself all too intrigued, and agreed. After a single night shared by the two entwined in bed sheets of gold silk, embroidered pillows, and exotic skins, Tupelo Black departed... never to contact Mara again.

Nevertheless he was keeping tabs on her and her eventual child, always.

Throughout Ofier's childhood, Mara remained tight-lipped regarding the circumstances of his conception, referring to Tupelo Black only as "that man."

Ofier remained curious about his lineage until his 18th birthday when he received a letter inviting him to join the Arcane Academy to explore his potential as 'one of the most groundbreaking research endeavors of the century.' It was signed, simply, "your esteemed father."

Furious that after 18 years his estranged father had only just reached out to him, and to call him a 'research endeavor,' Ofier swore never to engage with the Academy, and to instead forge his own path without the overbearing involvement of a man he had never known. Kissing his mother goodbye, Ofier set off, traveling overseas to find his own way... far from Hārūn, and far from the Arcane Academy.

Utilizing his natural charm and exotic physique, it was easy for Ofier to find work as an 'entertainer,' making additional money by taking on odd jobs for the thieves' guild... surely a disappointing career trajectory to the man he had no intention of meeting.

Now 20, and pridefully calling himself 'Ofier the Untrained,' the Dispater tiefling is well-known as a male performer and confidante of the thieves' guild. But will he be able to escape the destiny intended to him by his cruel father, Tupelo Black? Only time will tell...
