Ferem's Links
Keri was... a friend. A dear friend. In fact, without Keri Ferem doubts he'd be where he is today - in fact, he *knows* he wouldn't be here today. And now days, he regrets blaming Keri for the fact he wasn't there to die with the rest of their village - he just hopes to one day he can see his friend again and apologise
Ah, Ferem... he's sorry. He's so sorry. He dragged him away on some stupid adventure, only for neither of them to be present when their village needed them the most. He just hopes that Ferem is doing alright and staying safe. Maybe one day... no. Never mind.
A performer with a kind heart and a warming smile. Ferem has to admit, Waker surprised him in a variety of ways. With her clothes and instruments his first thought was she was some noblewoman who wanted to play the part of an adventurer - but her willingness to fight the wolves and to stand with the others showed him the error of such thoughts. Not only that but the others seem to listen to and respect her. She's given him a good reason to trust her, and a small part of him hopes that in time the two can grow to be friends. At the very least, she will be pleasant company on this venture.
THE RIGHTEOUS PALADIN and a breath of fresh air from the ragtag group of antisocials! Seriously! He knows what he's doing, and his heart is in the right place, and he actually ATTEMPTED to protect them! She trusts him a lot, one of the few in the group who seem to actually have a steady ground on their morals is something to strive for in her books! Maybe they can be friends, and teach each other things! Now she just hopes that if it would ever come to it, he'd trust his heart and not his god...
Geze was the first of the party that he met, and honestly he's not.. entirely sure what to make of the man. Their determination and desire to kill the bandits they fought unnerves him to the point where he doesn't know what he can trust them with. To guard his and the others back is one thing, but he can see them lashing out at people for the slightest mistake... well. Suffice to say, he will keep his eyes on him.
In the beginning Geze really struggled to just understand Ferem and the way he behaved. He always had the backs of the group but besides that he, for a while was a bit of a mystery. But with the time passing and the working together, Geze has really come to appreciate the paladin. He is a good man that stands firmly in his boots and has been able to move on from a bad situation. Geze still isn't entirely sure what it was, but the change in who they worshiped really seemed to help in that regard. Ferem really has become somebody that Geze admires for standing his ground no matter what. He is a good man that has and will continue to change the lives of many just by being crossing paths with them.
It took him a long time to warm up to Nalivka, but honestly? Now days he can't even begin to imagine disliking her. Yes, she has moments of blunt cruelty and ignorance, and the two might never quite agree on how best to approach certain... social situations? But she has shown him time and time again that she is someone whom he can trust and respect, and he hopes she knows that he will always have her back, and that he... well. He misses her like he misses all other close friends he doesn't see as much as he would like. Perhaps in future he will find a reason to meet up again, and perhaps they can settle once and for all who's the strongest of the pair?
Nalivka feels she could definitely beat Ferem in a battle.
On a good day.
Outside.
And then on HIS good day he'd totally kick her ass in return. And she can admire that in a person.
While she'll never be convinced to his soft approach to people, ALL people, even ones she doesn't quite consider 'people', Ferem managed to earn her trust by repeatedly assisting her in head-on battles and getting in the way of damage to protect the more fragile members of the party. All that religion stuff goes totally over her head, and she still feels she doesn't really know the person behind the armour all that well, but then again... she doesn't really care to get into people's personal businesses. She saw everything she needed to.
If Ferem ever wanted her to help him bring something, anything down (finding something like that, in itself, would probably be a hard feat for him in the first place), she'd do it without question.
He's had years to think and reflect on his choice, and boy does he regret it. He regrets the acts he commited, the lives he changed... the events he has surely set in motion... but he has no time to wade in guilt. Now that he has his friends at his back, and had his soul saved by a kinder god... it's time to bring Kalamir and his followers to justice.
As Ferem is the first being to break their contract and walk away scot-free, there is no act that Kalamir will not commit to bring the boy (and his new 'god') to an early grave.
A priest of Dreamweaver. A... very small part of Ferem is bitter at Ashen, since all his talk of 'Dream being with us' turned out false when he needed guidance the most? But on the whole he seemed nice. As he's traveled he's even heard stories of villages who benefited from his visits, so thats a tick in Ferem's book!
Erin admires Ferem for more reasons than him just being a brave hero (but that is absolutely one of the reasons). He's compassionate, helpful, and above all he's strong in every way Erin knows. She may not know him... super well, beyond him being strong, beyond him being a paladin willing to defend anyone but the fact that she knows him as such makes her feel safe in his presence. She.. regrets letting Aiko go off on his own, and is so, so thankful that the party saved him and specifically that Ferem tirelessly spent the night helping him. She can't imagine losing him, and so although she can't thank him enough in words or actions, she quietly goes about her days, hoping that Ferem knows how glad she is to have known him, and for him to have saved her family, and always leaves her own little piece whenever the kids write back to his letters.
Ferem might be the greatest hiring decision Silver ever made in his entire career.
Between what they directly observed and from what Piper and Lyren reported, Ferem held the team cool and collected, even when his own faith was shaken.
And he saved lives. A lot of them. Silver's own included.
He is indebted to him.
If you asked Aiko what he wanted to be when he grew up it would be someone like Ferem - someone who is brave and strong and because he is brave and strong he's able to help anyone who needs help. Aiko knows that he'll likely never follow the same sort of Paladin path that Ferem did - that sort of thing isn't for him, but moving forward Aiko wants to help people and make an impact on people the same way Ferem does. Ferem is an inspiration to him and he.. does literally owe his life to him and he's so, so grateful for it. After Reina took everything away from him he was a little too bold a little too fearless in his attempts to help, and from the party and from Ferem he's learnt a lot, and for a new lot in life, and for everything, Aiko is eternally grateful. He does his best to write him with the fam and leave his own little comments, because Ferem is great and he deserves to know it!!!
