Nalivka's Links
Geze is probably the person Nalivka has learnt the least about... other than the fact they're posh.... and transforming into something that's less and less of an inkdrian. At first he was aggressive towards people for no reason, and it threw her off immediately.
She's determined she likes NONE of those things.
...
Despite that, he helped bring the team to the goal, and never held back with his magic to aid them. She doesn't like his background, and doesn't quite know if she'd consider him a FRIEND, but on the battlefield she'd trust him no problem to have each others' backs.
And he seems like a person who, similarly to her, would appreciate peace and quiet. 'Cause it's GREAT. Probably while doing some nerdy stuff. Like reading. Regardless, he's welcome to get as much of that as he needs at Nalivka's camp whenever he'd like. ...As long as he's not smelling of an aberration.
After all that is said and done, Nalivka was a force of nature to be reckoned with. Wild in her opinions, knowledge and brute strength. Always blunt and to the point speaking what was on her mind and not holding back. She had proven over and over again that she was there ready to protect the party and make sure they didn't get hurt. Geze just really appreciates that she was there till the end. Going at Reina with all her might and never backing down. Nalivka is fierce and somebody Geze will absolutely turn to if he were to ever need help.
They're so different, it's hard to believe they're kin. Gin was always so irresponsible, no wonder he decided to spend his life fighting the most lethal to Inkdrians element. She wishes him well, but she's just fine on her own, and they share the same temperament, so he must be ok, too. Wonder if he ever mustered up the courage to HARM someone, though.
Apparently he managed it and he's on the sea now... a NAVIGATOR. Well fucking done, dude.
Oh yea, his twinsie! She's cool. Always the quiet, mysterious type. The forest fit her. After they left their parents' house he knew immediately that's what she'd settle on so he didn't even try dragging her to sea. Besides, she doesn't even have his cool powers! She'd melt at the sight alone.
He kinda misses her - but he's got a new family now, and she must be happy where she is!
The bard continued to be the voice of reason throughout the entire journey. But, surprisingly so, she didn't limit herself to just yelling 'you can do it, guys!' from the sidelines. Not only did she help out in battles immensely, she spoke up as soon as something was wrong, and her voice was STRONG.
Atta girl!! That's the fucking SPIRIT! But that's something you should probably expect from someone who spent time on the SEA, right? Madwoman.
...Funny that, actually. Nalivka's no good in the water, but maybe with Waker's help she could meet up with her brother someday.
Not that she needs that right now. He's fine, that's all that matters. For now, Waker's free to visit on her... weird... h o r s e, and Nalivka will gladly show her around the new woods she's been 'sploring! You know, in return for the bard putting up with her absolute lack of knowledge on tact and electronics. Maybe for a nice tune she could even get a bottle of some strong walnut nalewka (and that stuff's pricey goddamnit).
And she can show Waker how to eat spiders.
Quiet! Very quiet. Softspoken ranger at times, and other times she's loud and ready to state her opinion, but they seem nice! Okay, a little clumsy, but lovably clumsy in a way! Sure, her and Cherryl and Geze don't get on. But maybe they will in time! And she's new to technology, new to the world. And there's so much to teach her! So far, they've left a positive impression. Not immediately ready to make friends, but it's apparent that she at least trusts Waker of the group. So, you know, that's the most important thing.
Nalivka feels she could definitely beat Ferem in a battle.
On a good day.
Outside.
And then on HIS good day he'd totally kick her ass in return. And she can admire that in a person.
While she'll never be convinced to his soft approach to people, ALL people, even ones she doesn't quite consider 'people', Ferem managed to earn her trust by repeatedly assisting her in head-on battles and getting in the way of damage to protect the more fragile members of the party. All that religion stuff goes totally over her head, and she still feels she doesn't really know the person behind the armour all that well, but then again... she doesn't really care to get into people's personal businesses. She saw everything she needed to.
If Ferem ever wanted her to help him bring something, anything down (finding something like that, in itself, would probably be a hard feat for him in the first place), she'd do it without question.
It took him a long time to warm up to Nalivka, but honestly? Now days he can't even begin to imagine disliking her. Yes, she has moments of blunt cruelty and ignorance, and the two might never quite agree on how best to approach certain... social situations? But she has shown him time and time again that she is someone whom he can trust and respect, and he hopes she knows that he will always have her back, and that he... well. He misses her like he misses all other close friends he doesn't see as much as he would like. Perhaps in future he will find a reason to meet up again, and perhaps they can settle once and for all who's the strongest of the pair?
She can't quite understand why in the world Erin would want that hand.
I mean, she can understand HERSELF. It's a TROPHY goddamnit!
But man, Erin's just weird.
...But smart. And surprisingly brave, deciding to just come with them in the end. But uh... her leaving later was a good call.
Nalivka also can't understand how she could accept that OTHER ink... but it's not her place to judge.
She got a free house out of this whole ordeal anyway! Thanks, Erin!
Nalivka is.. certainly something. She has thrown the children that Erin and Silver are taking care of, refused to hand over her mother's severed hand, jump kicked her partner (although that one was accidental), and though Erin didn't *check*, she's pretty sure Nalivka also has her head as a trophy as well. Despite that, and despite Nalivka and Erin probably being complete polar opposites, Erin still appreciates Nalivka so, so much. She cannot express her gratitude towards the entire party for helping them. She completely expected Nalivka to disappear after all was said and done but if anything Nalivka is the most easily contactable due to her asking for Reinas old manor, which Erin happily agreed to. Better in Nalivkas hands to make new memories than left to rot, she supposed. Erin really does appreciate Nalivka. She completely understands her wanting to be alone in her own element, and though they don't agree on everything, Nalivka still takes care of the children and they always come back safe and sound, if not a little more wild.
Dude, you need to shape up. Like, seriously, she could pick you up with one arm.
...She could pick up the rest of the ink family with her other arm but that's besides the point.
Still, Silver seems a good dude. And uh... father figure...? The kids sure seem happy.
She might've not shown it much, but she's grateful for the photo he managed to get her. And also he took her sudden jumpkick to the face quite graciously so you know. Respect for that.
Where Erin found Nalivka, Silver will never know.
Seriously, when he said "We need the strongest heroes in the land" he didn't mean someone who was /actually/ in the land.
And yet, between her intense skill in battle and uniquely straight-forward method of dealing with threats others would squirm against, Nalivka proved to Silver she was a great hero.
...But on a personal level, he sincerely hopes he never has to share a direct conversation with her.
