     The “quite kid”, or that’s what a lot of people say at least. Most folks see Lucas as a awfully shy little guy, your “typical introvert”. He barely speaks in class, hence some classmates even think his mute [which isn’t true at all]. Plus, it seems that there’s barely anything interesting going on for the kid. It all seems like Lucas only enjoys spending time alone, in his room, with no one interrupting whatsoever.

    Well there’s certainly quite more to quiet if you’ve managed to dig a little deeper. He may seem passive, but Lucas is actually an excitable boy! Someone who is very much lively and expressive, Lucas is an absolute light to be around. Albeit he could be quite emotional at times, he never means any ill. Folks familliar with him would know just how electrified he would get about the things he loves! Easy excited about his interests, Lucas is someone who might ramble about them if you let him. He is also someone who is quite sassy and cheeky, someone who may lightheartedly tease his loved ones at times. 

   But perhaps what’s a surprise is behind that shy, quite demeanor is a loud and passionate heart. It may be a shocker, but Lucas is actually a theatre kid! With a love for acting, singing, and dancing, he had always dreamt of being on the stage someday! He’s someone with a bright and vivid imagination, often daydreaming about being a part of some play. And what he truly loves the most is musicals! He's actually a musical geek, who knows a ton about them [including the "trivial" facts and details]! Very dedicated about the things he love, Lucas often spends his time practicing and studying these arts. If only being on the show can ever be so easy, however. Because what may be a timid act is a mask Lucas puts on. Deep inside, Lucas is actually terrified of social situations. A huge fear of being judged has led him to become a very self-conscious person. This is why he overthinks almost everything he does, dreading about what others will think of him. Lucas would go to act like “the right and appropriate way”, forcing himself to hide who he is. He’s sensitive to criticism to the point that he could dwell on a small mistake for hours, maybe days at times. With all the pressure he has on himself, it has made it easier to irritate him over “small things” back at home, something that Lucas feels ashamed of. Soon, “ordinary interactions” became a struggle for him, and he started to avoid any attention and completely stay out of people’s radar.

   What Lucas really hates is that deep inside, he actually would love to socialize with others. He hates being lonely, and would love to be around people! And just how much he would love to be on stage! Yet, the realization hurts so much. Lucas believes that he’ll never be able to do any of those things. On one hand, he wants to stop caring about what others think. But what if they think he’s weird? Or annoying? Or some kind of freak? So he always watches his appearance. However, his family very much have another say for him. Sure, he is a kid who doesn’t actually understand social cues as easily, but he never means harm. A lot of his loved ones would say that he really has a big heart. Lucas can be someone who’s very affectionate to the people he holds dear. His words are far from elaborate, but he can continue to talk about how amazing they are and how he loves them so much! He genuinely won’t shy away from showing and giving them love. Lucas is someone who admires his loved ones highly, and often looks up to them. He may be unable to explain it, but he just knows that his loved ones are “the most amazing people in the world”. Well nowadays, Lucas just spend his days alone in his little room, whether it’s trying to stay calm or imagining himself on stage. He’s always practicing his craft, but sadly he himself isn’t sure if he’ll be able to show his talents to the stage. Perhaps one day? Well, that’s a story for another time…

• He’s an absolute cat person, he knows a whole lot about them haha [his knowledge is honestly geek level/hj] 
  • His personal favorites are calicos [“they’re very colorful and cute!”] and black ones [“who doesn’t love an adorable little black hole haha- it’s a joke i’m sorry if it sounded dumb-”
• Drawing and painting is a little side hobby of his! He likes painting landscapes and cats. It calms himself a little. 
  • He probably secretly watch those Bob Ross tutorials [The Joy of Painting]. Well to be honest, who doesn’t love them?
• Admires animations a lot, even if he has no plans to become an animator.
• Gets really energetic whenever he’s excited! However embarrassed to express it most of the time :(
• Loves to simply chill and lay outside on a nice sunny day. Listening to music is a bonus!
• He might rock back and forth when he’s feeling intense emotions [whether he’s upset or happy]. He also sometimes claps his hands whenever he’s exicted and says a little “yay”!
• Yes he sings in the shower lol.
• Likes watching a lot whether that be movies, shows, or just videos. Sometimes hyperfixates and can like binge watch non-stop if no one cuts in. He pretty much need those interruptions or not he’ll just straight up forget to take care of himself [“like eating lunch or something.”]
• If you were a stranger to ask him about his interests, he would say “nope I know nothing at all-“ when in reality he KNOWS EVERYTHING about said topic because he doesn’t want to be judged. Which just frustates him a lot. He gets especially annoyed when you got a thing he love wrong, whether it’s a basic fact or niche knowledge, he’ll just get absolutely tempted to correct you.
• Loves cookies with a cup of milk so much he would eat it every breakfast if he could.
• Keeps most things neat and clean [except his paint supplies and painting clothes], and get’s upset when something of his gets mildly dirty. He also hates when his clothes get wet while wearing them. It’s genuinely so uncomfortable to him.
• School subjects were always his weak spot, especially math and science. He tries, but anything that isn't art/language related is confusing. 
  • The idea of puzzles like chess already "hurt his brain".
• Sometimes [especially when he doesn’t know what to say], he would say quotes whether that’s from movies or musicals, which may seem off-character or random, but “please bear with me I don't know how to talk-”.
• Despises certain sounds, like chewing and silverware clinking, they genuinely make him stressed out. If he's not embarrassed enough to, he'd honestly listen to music while eating.
  • Absolutely hate mukbangs. Especially the ones with ASMR. “It’s awkward, and gross, and, and, JUST WHY-“
• One of those kids that feel nauseated a bit more easily, usually it's from just seeing something gross, stress, or strong smells [his sense of smell is sensitive]
• When there’s a character he’d portray or just really interested in, he would do extensive research about them! Past portrayals, their environments, even hobbies! All the details he could find! Whenever he’s in-character, he’s REALLY in-character.
• Loves fluffy textures! He even has a small blue blanket that he loves to sleep with, he just likes the velvety texture a lot. Also hates the feeling of being barefoot in the floor so he wear socks even when indoors.
• "I’M WAVING THROUGH A WINDOOOOW" that’s one of his favorite songs, and for many reasons, of course. “But I must admit tho, Evan Hansen is kinda of a jerk-“
  • NO he was NOT inspired by Dear Evan Hansen it’s a whole coincidence really- but every time I hear this song my mind automatically thinks of Lucas-
• Lucas and Max were adopted by the Oddwoods since they were infants, while Layla and Oliver came in recently from foster care. This is context to the different dynamics in the family!
• European descent of some kind.
