PHYSICAL APPEARANCE

| FACIAL FEATURES: | often obscured by a mask with a simple projection of a tesseract carved into it. They have small fringe, tunnels in ears (to cover decay), a device attached to their skull that prevents them from turning into a mindless aggressive monster; robotic left eye that glows a faint blue (their right eye is dead and functions poorly), red triangles under eyes; prosthetic nose (their real one has decayed away), and long sideburns tied into tiny ponytails. |
| SKIN / PELT: | short and rough dark turquoise fur; pale yellow underfur that stretches from under their armpits; large red eye marking on their back with a heart for a pupil; orange toes and feet soles; red heart on each hip; pale blue tail (stitched onto their body). |

| OTHER: | Their left arm got accidentally butchered by Smoke and his team while performing experiments, and needed to be replaced. Smoke went as far as to declaw and defang Tesseract in case they try to attack someone. Hailey hired her technician friends to replace Tesseract's fangs with metal ones, and upgrade their mechanical arm so that it has pointy fingers, and not make the creature vulnerable to attacks anymore. |
PERSONALITY
| Tesseract is a very private, elusive person. They're distrustful and quite foul-mouthed, but otherwise harmless. Their paranoia makes them act rude and snappy because they want to deter others from interacting with them and leave Tess alone. They're not easy to befriend, but they're loyal to those close to them. Because their brain is hooked to a lot of electronics, sometimes it malfunctions, which results in Tesseract being paranoid and delusional / psychotic. Their psychosis makes them do things perceived as strange by others, for example covering mirrors with clothes so that their reflection can't "spy" on them. Tesseract's hobby is writing. They carry a notebook with them almost everywhere they go, to write things down in case they find inspiration. |

BACKSTORY
| Nothing is known about Tesseract prior to them being revived. It seems that whatever family Tess had, didn't care very much for them. It's unclear how Smoke got his hands on Tesseract's dead body in order to perform his (quite unethical) experiments on. After Tesseract gained sapience, they broke out of the facility they were being kept in, and fled to Darkwood Town, where they were found and "adopted" by Hailey. Smoke, upon noticing that his test subject manages well on their own, let them be - though he still keeps an eye on his "creation". His spying only makes Tesseract's paranoia worse, however. Tesseract stays with Hailey (to her delight), and slowly blends in with society to live a normal un-life. They hide their true identity under their mask, so that very few people actually know that they're undead. |
