PERSONALITY
| Smoke's rather short-tempered, down-to-earth, serious and not very fond of jokes; and as stubborn as a mule. He always believes himself to be right and fails to accept that he might make mistakes. He is very intelligent and smart and reads others' emotions and intentions really well. He's great at planning and organizing things, and staying focused at multiple tasks at once, which makes him a good leader. His boyfriend begged him to change his unpleasant attitude towards others; and while Smoke slowly makes steps to become a better person, his mean personality still frequently shows, despite his efforts. |

BACKSTORY
| He works as a paranormal investigator. His job was meant to be about checking out haunted places and contacting the ghosts and monsters, and asking them to move on; but very quickly his tasks descended into straight out hunting and trapping or killing supernatural creatures. He often goes out of his way to track down "monsters" and tries to kill them and refuses to consider that some "monsters" might actually be friendly. Later on, though, he began looking at things from a different point of view. Gordon's threats and actions towards him played a huge role in that. Instead of hunting down every unnatural creature, he began researching them more; and although he still often resorts to violence, he now picks his targets more carefully - and makes sure that the creatures he hunts down actually pose a threat to others. Moreover, he begun experimenting with alchemy and magic himself, to improve his and his colleagues' performance as monster hunters. His team developed a device to bring consciousness back to some undead creatures, such as Tesseract. Smoke brought back Tesseract with the help of fellow scientists, but the feline escaped before he could finish his job. He often spies on Tesseract to make sure that they're doing okay, but unknowingly he contributes to the cyborg's paranoia. |
