Jimmy is a charming and upstart rebel leader who wants to make the world a better place... so he says.
PERSONALITY
Jimmy is the current de facto leader of a small gang that makes its claim in The City. It's a collection of those disenfranchised with the current state of The City. Rebels, punks, idealists, lost, etc, all make home under Jimmy's roof. And Jimmy does well to protect them. Occasionally there will be an issue but the gang has enough presence in the City to ward off any potential enemies. The police force is non-existent as is crime so the gang basically has free reign. Whether it be claimed, chicken or the egg, Jimmy's ego fuels the gang's momentum and success. And when it's successful, it's attributed to him. When he gets this praise, he feels more powerful, etc.
Jimmy, at his core, does what he will for his own personal benefit. And he gets others to do things for him. However, he's good at persuasion, so much so that people dont really know he's doing what he's doing. They heed his bidding because it feels like the person is in control. They do it because they believe it's good. Of course, most of these thoughts and motives are instilled by him.
Jimmy will also, when not getting his way, find ways to garner sympathy from people outside of a discussion. Like from random people in the club. He's exceptionally good at garnering sympathy. Likely where he gets most of his dirty deeds done. Mullet is an asshole until it's shown how cruel someone can be. He's kinda pathetic in the grand scheme of things.
The smug bastard also plays victim all the time. And if that schtick doesnt work, he'll pull the overly confident card. People see him as attractive with his pride.

At first, Mullet and Jimmy are just friends. Then they become ravenously romatnically and sexually involved. Then... well then it's not so great. Mullet is the stubborn, emotional, idealistic suburban runaway. Absolutely perfect cannon fodder for Jimmy. Mullet is blinded by youth, his radical morals, and oddly enough, his gullibility. Mullet likes to think his mind is impervious to manipulation. But...he's not. In fact, he falls harder than anyone Jimmy's had before. Their intensely emotional and charged personal relationship, at first, seems like the exact one Mullet's been looking for. One that challenges him and yet also lets him be his chaotic self. Unfortunately, it comes crashing down like a hydrogen bomb. One that leaves nuclear fallout in its waste, including the club and Mullet's friends.

And Jimmy does subtly also encourages Jake's kleptomania and breaking and entering. Jimmy doesn't respect Jake at all. He thinks he's an immature child.
