Ivanov

Ivanov is a nebulous individual, nobody really understands whats going on in his head. While he is generally quite lucid, he is also mostly blind and knows almost no English, and as a result he is easily manipulated and confused into playing along in completely outlandish scenarios and he rarely realizes when he is being made into a joke. He's pretty often on edge, as those jokes sometimes go sour and he is unsure of how to defend himself, so he is known to bite and scratch when he feels cornered. He also experiences auditory and visual hallucinations, mostly at night when his visibility is almost none. He is deceptively quick to anger and irritable, its easy to mistake him for being kind when instead he is more accurately described as "agreeable." His naivety is his charm point, when another man elects to help him it is mostly out of pity.
When Ivanov realizes he has been manipulated, misunderstood, or misled, he becomes almost inappropriately frustrated. He is equally prone to fits of rage as he is to periods of total despondence. He has a tendency to self harm in a fugue state via compulsive scratching or skin picking, often Stinger cannot tell which wounds are self inflicted and which are the result of clumsiness. He treats them all in the same manner, much to the chagrin of Ivanov, who would love the kind of attention Stinger reserves for his patients he does not trust. He generally feels quite lonely and ignored, and often infantilized by the people around him. He is an adult man and wants to be treated as such, but his perceived vulnerability generally leads to others approaching him in a very neutered manner.
Ivanov was exposed to chlorine gas, which damaged much of the soft tissue in his lungs and around his eyes and mouth. He trembles constantly despite being well dressed for the weather, and has extreme difficulty breathing and speaking, frequently coughing up distressing amounts of blood. He has his face covered for comfort, as he has no idea how frightening he looks. There is no logical reason why he should even be alive right now considering the extent of his injuries.
- Stinger and Ivanov are practically joined at the hip, they have difficulty communicating but Stinger won't allow him to wander off if he can help it because of how deeply concerned for Ivanov he is. Stinger is Ivanov's ideal guide, and one of the few people he fully trusts to never lead him astray, so he will often abandon his walking stick to lock arms with Stinger instead. He semi-frequently tries to proposition Stinger, but has been deflected consistently and is mildly resentful of that fact.
- He bit Dragon's finger off and feels rather bad about it. He likes Dragon and communicating with him is how he's learned most of the English he knows.
- The man in the red hat is Ivanov's friend. Red loves trying his best to worsen Ivanov's delusions and hallucinations. Ivanov recognizes this to a degree, but Red is the only other Russian he knows of and therefore his only possible translator. He is quite jealous of Red for many reasons.
- Precious finds him ugly, and scary, they do not come into contact much.
- Ivanov does not know Gristle, but Gristle knows him very well. Gristle pretends to be a hallucination of his in order to torment him.
