Pommel the Magpie

This character is an alternate fandom version of Pommel the Nightmaren.

Meaning of name: The pommel of a sword counterbalances the weight of the blade

Pommel was just a regular peasant who enjoyed the peaceful and quiet life with her friends and family, until the Aurum Empire, a rival kingdom, declared war with Camelot and ravaged her town. Her family was taken as hostages and she was forced to become a spy in exchange for their safety. 

She successfully infiltrated Elaine's castle as a maid, but after proving herself trustworthy and strong enough, she was taught sword fighting by the Lady and promoted to knight after ardious training. 

It was then that Slag the Monkey arrived to seek asylum, claiming to have been a royal engineer and that she was bringing important information which could overturn the tide of the war, namely, that the Aurum empire was building special weapons of which she knew the weaknesses.  Since the King Arthur was busy dealing the rebelious royal wizard Merlina at the time, Lady Elaine made the decision to send a party which included Pommel to sabotage the weapons. 

Although Pommel saught to remain loyal to the Aurum Empire out of fear and attempted to capture Slag and make the mission fail, she found herself to grow attached to the monkey girl and wanting to protect her from the Empire which she escaped from. 

Pommel is quiet and complient. She values rules over anything, or she tries to convince herself that she does; Pommel actually values those she loves above morals and would go at any lenght to ensure their safety and happiness. She is composed, stoic even, and hard-working. She is both quick-witted and calculating, favouring reason before action.

Pommel is extremely sensitive to sensory input and can shut down or panic if sounds or physical contact becomes too complex and bothersome. She usually leaves a situation in anticipation when she can tell things are about to go overboard. She is content with letting close friends touch her (with permission). 

Fun fact: her favourite colour is red.
