02 — Personality
Considered a little eccentric and wonky by his peers, he claims that he's just making sure that people are aware of his existence. He absolutely must take up space, it's very important to him. He's very loud in general, too, always raising his voice and laughing without limits. He gets very focused on his work, using his ADHD's hyperfocus to its full capabilities. This happens even when he's only reading about surgery, though; anything on the subject gets him excited to do his job.
Surgery is definitely his special interest. He's autistic, along with the ADHD. Other interests of his include making homemade juice and jams, along with 3D printing.

03 — Background
Roscoe grew up in New York City, where he was exposed to the supernatural at a young age. He thought they were just the regular strange people that New York is known for, but this changed when he was 14, and his father accidentally revealed himself as a merperson.
He badgered his father for information about the hidden supernatural world, and he obliged. Eventually, Roscoe learned about time travel. Highly experimental, fairly dangerous, but technically possible and legal... He started teaching himself about it. It was a casual interest, and he was planning to save up his money to buy a trip back in time, but that changed when his father unexpectedly died.
Roscoe was 17 at the time, and it devastated him. His aunt, also a merperson, took him in, where he threw himself into the research of time travel. He built himself a machine of his own, and went back in time. He still isn't quite sure what happened. He had gone in with the intent to save his father from death, and came out in a world where his father had never existed, and Roscoe was a baby that had appeared out of nowhere and been adopted by his aunt.
One would think that this would have put him off from time travel, but it did not. He simply set it to the side. Instead, he switched interests, learning about all sorts of medical conditions and how to treat them, which introduced him to the concept of being a surgeon for a living. He studied hard, used time travel to learn more in less time, and became a fully-fledged surgeon at the legal age of 23.
He picked up a job at the Desert Crescent Supernatural Hospital and hasn't touched time travel since.

good friends & co-workers
Roscoe and Woozy Suzy are pretty good friends. They spend their lunch breaks together and hang out after work. They're definitely not best friends, though.
He appreciates her for her honesty and how she doesn't sugar-coat things, and she appreciates him for not thinking she's weird or overly strange.
