Yu is truly a reliable man to have if connected to him somehow. He doesn't look the part of willing to carry out to his duties, he conducts himself with modesty. Dedicating his every being to the good of the city, he will sometimes completely ignores his own health for his duty and would practically tiptoe towards death's door each time he forces himself to a certain goal. Aside from his duty, Sakurai is a rather humble man who wishes to maintain peace in his very home. Perhaps, because of his line of work, he often looks into the more negative sides of people and will sometimes appear more pessimistic than the regular individual.

• He never misses a day of breakfast.
  > Sometimes that's just all he eats.
  > His favorite meals are Monte Cristo sandwiches and blueberry waffles.
• Will always stop by a coffee shop whenever he leaves the house; unless he never leaves his home.
• His parents and his grandparents were defense attorneys that created a law firm that originated in Japan.
  > Suuyu and his twin sister are the first generation (in the family) that became lawyers in the United States.
  > However, Yu wanted to take a different route and became a prosecutor - while his sister is a defense attorney.
• Whenever him and his sister find each other at opposite ends in a court happening, they'll most likely be at each other's throats after the case ends.
• He always celebrates his case winnings by a few glasses of bourbon at his favorite bar.
  > When he loses, he'll sleep for a whole day.
• Sighs a lot
• Nearsighted. He needs to wear glasses in order to read anything.
  > Rarely uses it though and squints alot.
• Rarely smiles
• Prefers to wear lighter-colored outfits; especially his suits and ties.
• Recently divorced because his wife can't beat him in an argument.
• Not too interested in dating, but Suuyu likes shy and reserved men and powerful women.

Backstory

Suuyu was born in Japan but moved to the United States at a young age after his parents wanted to expand the law firm to the western side of the world. Since his birth, it was decided that he'd become a lawyer by the demands of his strict father.
Spending years in law school, with the plan of becoming a defense attorney like his father, he eventually found interests regarding criminals that was introduced by a classmate who had the same interests.

At first, he was worried regarding the future of the law firm as it was originally planned to be handed to him. However, after his sister decided that she would become a defense lawyer herself, he immediately turned his sights on becoming a prosecutor like he's dreamed of.

Suumi  [ Twin Sister ]

Suumi is Suuyu's twin sister and they remained inseparable until they reached their years in college. Especially as they first started handling court cases, they'd find themselves at opposing sides on certain times. But whenever his sister has taken the same case, Suuyu is more likely excited (but more worried ) - hoping to take her down. However, anything outside of law, Yu is Suumi's the only family that seems to understand him out of the rest of his relatives.

Bart  [ Friend ]

Bart always sees Sakurai every once in a while because it's likely he's there to celebrate with a good drink. And aside from Bart treating him like a client, he's gone to the bar long enough for the bartender to know him on a personal level. He's been by his side since he's divorced his wife and since then, Bart is the man that Yu would rely on if he needed to talk to someone... but not without a drink.

Ender  [ Friend ]

Typically Suuyu prefers to be welcomed by Bart when he enters the bar, but he doesn't mind Ender... somewhat. Ender is more cruel than he is kind, always talking about the situation realistically - perhaps it was Ender himself that he's gone more pessimistic than the usual? However, there was certain days where Ender's there to help him out in one of the cases? He's tried asking him a couple of times, but every time his answers become more archaic and more suspicious than last time.

Michael  [ ??? ]

Michael is a detective that works solely on his own. Typically Yu doesn't want to bother dealing with those types of detectives... but most of his leads often end up to Ransford. When they met the first time, it caught him off guard to hear him speak fluent Japanese, but otherwise their relationship remains professional. But if Yuusu becomes desperate, he calls for Michael if he needs anymore things investigated instead of relying on other detectives to get what he needs.
