Leaf Sheep Sea Slug: (English) Costasiella kuroshimae, also known as a "leaf slug" or "leaf sheep", or "salty ocean caterpillar" is a species of sacoglossan sea slug whose beady eyes and flat face make it look like an adorable cartoon sheep. It has droopy feelers and a phosphorescent, leaf-like body. They graze on green algae, and use the chloroplasts from their food to manufacture their own energy in a process called kleptoplasty. One of the only non-plant organisms in the world that can perform photosynthesis, leaf sheep can survive up to a few months on the energy produced from kleptoplasty.

Design Notes:

• They have little black dot eyes!!! Pls don't draw them with normal eyes, the dot eyes are a key part of their design, not just an art style thing.
• The floppy purple things on their head are rhinophores (squishy slug "antennae"), not ears or horns
• The pink hearts on their sides/tail glow
• Can be drawn with stylized anatomy or with more realistic Parasaurolophus anatomy!

• Smol soft slug dino who wants to be a seaweed when they grow up!!!

• Barely out of being a tabula rasa, equivalent to a young teen
• Helps Carraig and Aillig harvest seaweed
• Usually munching on seaweed
