Before Bella, Clover was the latest in a long line of child heroes brought to the fantasy world by Angel. Clover, excited for the chance to help someone in need, eagerly joined Angel on their quest. However, Clover proved to be a bit too soft for Angel's liking, and refused to be rude or violent towards any of the villains they encountered. This meant that they got along very well with Eleanor, someone who also has gone her whole life never raising a weapon against any of the creatures in the land. The two made fast friends, and were very close until Angel dragged Clover away to focus on their quest. Clover had a soft spot for the fantasy plants that grew throughout the kingdom, and often offered their friends gifts of bouqets. The orange flowers were their favorite. Fallen petals from these flowers became the sign that Clover was not far off.

Angel trained Clover to use a weapon, telling them it was just a precaution to protect others. However, eventually Angel deemed Clover ready to fight for the fantasy world's future. Angel gave Clover their cape as a sign that they were now a true hero.

Clover, completely unwilling to actually raise a weapon against anyone, was thrown headfirst into the most dangerous parts of their quest. Entirely unprepared to actually defend themself, Clover was overwhelmed and killed in their attempt to make it to the castle where Aurelius resided. Angel, dissapointed but unsurprised, refused to revive them the way they usually would when a hero failed. Angel departed the fantasy world once again to find a new hero to help them.

Once word spread that Clover had fallen, the fantasy world began to understand the legnths Angel would go to defeat Aurelius. Previous heroes who had been trapped in the fantasy world after their quests had failed were the only ones wary of Angel at first, as they had first-hand experience with how deceptive they could be. However, now that a child had been killed trying to defend the land and Angel had done nothing to prevent it, Angel's credibility with the townsfolk plummeted.

Once Aurelius heard what had happened, they were absolutely furious. They had never wanted any of the heroes to die. Not only that, but Clover was the youngest hero Angel had dragged into this mess. Aurelius swore that day that no more heroes would have to be put through harsh trials and combat before they were ready. They planted fields of Clover's favorite flower throughout the castle in memory of the fallen hero.

While Angel had become the representative of the fantasy world, the world itself had never given Angel that role. Every hero who passed from their world into this new one gained an attribute of a non-human nature to allow them to blend in while they were visiting. Clover did not have a visible attribute, but their pure and gentle heart allowed them to tap into this hidden magic. After their death, Clover came back as a ghost appearing in a field of flowers. Clover now seeks out any new heroes, and begs them to leave Angel and return home. Angel sticks close by the heroes now, scaring off Clover, who is absolutely terrified of them.

Clover has made friends with Caramel and her Monster companion after their death, as Caramel's Monster is one of the only creatures that can see Clover even without them spending the energy to become visible. Caramel often interacts with Clover and treats them as an imaginary friend. The only ones who seem to know the true nature of her new friend are Pamela and Daffodil, previous heroes who had heard about what happened to Clover.
