Ariyana was a young child when she first discovered the magical world the story resides in. The people in the world celebrated her arrival, seeing it as something new and special, as she was the first human to ever make it into their fantasy world. Ariyana, however, was a stubborn and spoiled child, and the celebration of her very existence did no one any favors.

Ariyana began to see herself as the ruler of the land, and at first the people allowed her to play at being one. They wanted her to have a fun and exciting time in their world so that when she left she may consider coming back one day. But Ariyana grew more and more greedy, eventually actually taking over the kingdom and driving it to ruins.

Ariyana's full takeover was the event that prompted Angel to start searching the outside world for other children who may be able to stop her. Their thought process was that if Ariyana was a small child who came from the outside world, then only someone of a similar status would be able to take her down. This was all a cover for Angel not wanting to take care of the problem themself, and they brought more and more heroes to their world in an attempt to dethrone Ariyana.

All the heroes either failed before they reached Ariyana, or they got to her and were defeated by her personally. Until Angel brought in Aurelius. They made it all the way to Ariyana before realizing that the big bad evil villain that they had risked their life and abandoned their future to defeat was simply a child who had gotten a little too full of herself. Furious, Aurelius ended up taking her place.

Ariyana, while being obnoxious and destructive, was still a useful asset. Aurelius, who had learned magic along the way of their adventure, was able to place a curse on her that trapped her consciousness in the back of her mind. She kept her recklessness, her destructive nature, and her joy in hurting others, but is no longer conscious of her actions. Ariyana now operates as the member of Aurelius' team that handles all the dirty work and chaos that Aurelius does not want to be associated with. This curse spread across her physically, corrupting the ends of her limbs until they became as dark and twisted as she was on the inside all along.

While Ariyana is the cause of most of the problems this world has had to face, she is still a child, and has become scared and confused over the years of her curse. If given the chance to break out of it, she would gladly take it, but years of self-reflection can make one believe that they do not deserve to be saved.
