Connor Leveritt's Links
To Dominic, Connor is little more than a pain in the ass. His rowdy behavior has gotten them kicked out—even banned—from certain bars, and while Dominic can appreciate some energy, Conner is wholly too much. If he knows in advance that Connor will be coming to an outing, Dominic might pass it up altogether.
Connor finds Shiloh to be tollerable, if not a bit on the bland side. They're opposites in many ways aside from their inability to complete most of what they start, but even then, Connor tries. Shiloh doesn't. It's hard for Connor to befriend someone who is so insipid and carefree. Connor also has a vague, strange feeling that Shiloh is annoyed by him.
Connor is, by nature, Shiloh's antithesis. His loud, unpredictable, energetic, and brawly nature is overwhelming to Shiloh, so he opts to avoid him on days that are already tough enough without him in them. Ever since Connor joined his group of friends, Shiloh has been less and less involved with them. Home is much more relaxed and fight-free, after all.
Connor struggles to determine wherher Greyson hates him or relies on him, and when he truly thinks about it, it must be both. Bearing a secret that, if loosed, could ravage the life of his friend forever (and that, in part, already has), Connor knows Greyson won’t leave him unwatched. Connor has pledged secrecy and intents to stand by that pledge.
Greyson is inseparably tethered to Connor less by choice and more by necessity. Having exposed a devastating truth about himself during a particularly alcohol-steeped night, he fears that leaving Connor unsupervised will result in his secret being shared around. If it were up to preference alone, Greyson would be content never talking to Connor again, but his well-being, reputation, and currently noncriminal status depend on Connor's confidentiality. Greyson does not trust Connor that much. He'll stay by his side so long as it means protecting himself, and in this case, it does.
