Greyson Lautner's Links
Every encounter with Greyson leaves Dominic with a less and less trustworthy impression of him. Although he can get along with Greyson just fine when he's sober, drunk Greyson is an entirely different beast. He mopes, he gets stingingly cynical, and worst of all, he spills secrets--both his and everyone else's. Dominic specifically confided in Greyson and Shiloh about Carlisle because he didn't think Connor could be trusted with such sensitive information. Only a few drinks in and Greyson divulged the secret entirely. Dominic doesn't talk to him about personal affairs anymore.
Though Greyson typically sees unexpected greetings from strangers as a nuisance, being alone in an unfamiliar city has a way of changing peoples' perceptions. Because of this, he was very welcoming of Shiloh's greeting, and even after he found out the greeting wasn't meant for him (or for anyone), he still wanted to talk. Their conversation only lasted as long as the segment of bus route they shared, but they were reintroduced by a mutual friend. Greyson now knows Shiloh isn't the most reliable of friends, and while he often finds his laziness frustrating, he still hasn't forgotten the kindness Shiloh showed him the first day they met.
Though he's quick to tire of all the dourness and complaints, Shiloh believes that Greyson, overall, is a good guy. They met because Shiloh blurted out a greeting that Greyson believed was for him (though it was actually a tick). Shiloh explained himself and, interestingly, the stranger continued to engage him. Their conversation was mostly dominated by Greyson while Shiloh nodded and "mm-hmm"ed, but the exchanged was beneficial enough for both of them to swap numbers. They meet up at a bar with two other friends whenever Shiloh isn't too tired or occupied to go.
Greyson is inseparably tethered to Connor less by choice and more by necessity. Having exposed a devastating truth about himself during a particularly alcohol-steeped night, he fears that leaving Connor unsupervised will result in his secret being shared around. If it were up to preference alone, Greyson would be content never talking to Connor again, but his well-being, reputation, and currently noncriminal status depend on Connor's confidentiality. Greyson does not trust Connor that much. He'll stay by his side so long as it means protecting himself, and in this case, it does.
Connor struggles to determine wherher Greyson hates him or relies on him, and when he truly thinks about it, it must be both. Bearing a secret that, if loosed, could ravage the life of his friend forever (and that, in part, already has), Connor knows Greyson won’t leave him unwatched. Connor has pledged secrecy and intents to stand by that pledge.
