About:

   Ran is a delightfully jovial satyr! His life is carefree-- even a bit lazy, by other species' standards. 

Him and his over-protective father reside in a wooded clearing, where they overlook all the other creatures who wander through, and make sure they do not stay or destroy their property. Ran himself is not the best at keeping track of everything, much less staying within the glen. He is more keen on snooping about closer to humanoid civilizations-- but with Caius constantly calling him back or chastising him for poor choices, he doesn't stay gone for long.

He absolutely depends on his father despite being old enough to wander off (even for good, if he so desired), but his lack of ambition sees no problem here. He enjoys the little things in life, and that does not include learning lessons or paying attention, much less taking over ward of the ancestral glen.

Ran is more attuned to impulse and positivity, and rarely feels the need to 'go out of his way' for anything, other than his curiosity, if something piques it.

Trivia:

• Ran is a bit of a scoundrel and knows how to make his father pity him and share his food... He has no regrets about 'stealing' Caius's food so often. He loves food too much to let guilt get in the way!
• He has never met his mother. When he was very young, he would often mope about wishing to meet her. As he grew up, he realized such a thing would be impossible (as she ran away when he was an infant), and vowed to keep positive instead of looking for the negative things in life
• It is mostly the fault of Caius for ever intriguing Ran about these 'forbidden, cruel humanoids' that he often seeks out. For some reason, they steer very clear of their neck of the woods, and are difficult for him to find outside of their large towns...
