About:

   Klin is Oriphnae's designated watchdog-- he has been tasked with making sure that Oriph does not cause mayhem when his husband, the Emperor of Osed's largest Kingdom, is parted from him. Klin is sympathetic to Oriphnae, however, and though the Elf does not cause problems, Klin would silently let any diversions go if they occurred.
That being said, Klin is a little too invested in his job, for once in agreement with the warlord's opinion that Oriphnae is a beautiful creature to behold. He relishes in his duty of keeping his sights set to Oriph all day and night. He often goes above and beyond his duty to tend to Oriphnae's needs before the other servants and slaves can make their appearances.

Underneath his stern demeanor is a matron-like sense of duty and worry, and he figures he has only made it this far by being empathetic toward his charges while also being perfectly servile to his true superiors; being a guard does not allow so many freedoms as much as Klin himself kowtowing toward his uppers has done for his seeming advancements... He is aware that he can seem two-faced by all outward appearances, but cares little for chatter and judgments compared to the bombardment of mending unfortunate slaves and servants to better health over time.  

He is an altruist with a frozen heart, a surface level cold that is easily warmed away if one is persistent enough, and patient enough. He would far rather give than ever take, with how much madness and pain he has witnessed.

Technically he is a free man, if his served papers from his youth are any indication, but he has been in servitude to the empire until further notice by the Emperor himself, given little chance to speak out against it. And why would he, when this is all he has known since he has matured?

Notes and trivia:

• Though he is slender in silhouette, he is very chiseled with the intent of being strong; he has always used his muscled strength as a bargaining chip when persuading his masters for more independence.
• Is well acquainted with the people of the free district (considered the 'gutter' of the Empire's society), but most especially the sole piercer and tattooist. Most of Klin's pieces have meaning that stem from life in the free district, despite not living there these days.
• Though he has many duties throughout the day, he is most noted among his masters for being a skilled, efficient laborer.
  However, if you were to personally ask him what his finest talent is, he'd say it is herbalwork, having great knowledge of medicinal plants for salves.
