Styx

Styx is one of those people who you can’t help but look at. Xe purposefully sticks out from the crowd, both in appearance and mannerisms. Styx is loud - xe has opinions and xe’s going to do things about those opinions. People take notice of xer when xe’s on the street, which is mostly what xe wants. Whether Styx likes this or not is dependent on what xe’s trying to do at the time.

Styx is the kind of person who makes a commitment and keeps it. Xe’s absolutely going to make a stand for what xe believes in. You can’t stop xer. Xer wife can’t stop xer. Styx can and will do what needs to be done for the things xe believes in. Plus, Styx knows how to do things. And when xe doesn’t, Styx is all too willing to learn.

Perhaps Styx is a little too anxious about ones xe loves. Xe cares a lot about them, all right? Xe’s well aware that they can take care of themselves. It doesn’t stop xer from worrying though. Occasionally, Styx has withheld information from them because xe believes knowing the information will do more harm than good. Unfortunately, this tends to go the wrong way.

Styx is really good at reading a room and responding to it. Xe’s really good at understanding how people work and why they work. That’s why xe’s really charismatic. Styx is especially good at rallying people to a cause and motivating them to actually do things. Plus, xe was able to use xer charm to woo Cyprinus, a win for both of them.

Of course, Styx wouldn’t be where xe is today without xer creative genius. Xe’s got a lot of great ideas and a powerful vision. That’s why a lot of people like xer music - it’s unique, it’s different, and it sounds really really good.

Styx was raised on the edge of the Outlands, the place where the City bleeds out into the Outlands. It’s not a particularly nice place - and it’s never been. Styx’s parents were hardcore activists and taught xer much of what xe knows.

Xe went to protests from a young age. Xer parents were incredibly supportive parents and wanted Styx to be an active participant in dealing with governmental issues. Styx loved trying to change things for the better.

What better way to make a change than through art? Styx founded a punk band with a few people he liked and began finding ways to use music to advocate for change. One of those places was at rallies.

Styx met Cyprinus at one of these rallies. Xe were headlining and noticed how much she enjoyed xer music. Since she was staying to help clean up afterwards, Styx approached her and asked her to a friendly lunch. This spiraled into a long friendship that turned into romance after many years.

Their daughter Ryukin was a surprise. Cyprinus was often busy out on the ocean for week at a time, even months, so Styx wasn’t always in the know. As soon as they found out, however, Styx insisted on keeping xer wife landside until Ryukin was born. Styx threw xerself into being the best possible parent.

Styx will never give up the fight for equal rights. In fact, xe will take their family with xer to protests. It’ll all go over well.
