Personality

Stifled - Observant - Anxious

Since the end of the world began, Alaya hasn't been able to see much of it. Possessed right at the start, her mind sits in a tedious limbo where she isn't quite aware of what she's doing or why. Controlled like a puppet and treated like a toy, every so often she grains control of her senses once more and attempts to figure out what's going on. Each time, she realizes how far out of her depth she is. She hopes to one day escape on her own terms.

History

The end of the world didn't start with a bang, not immediatly.

It was an off-day, so Dave was in the shop with her, unusually standoffish as he poked at his breakfast. Choosing to give him space, Alaya went along with the steps of her schedule alone, giving Dave the upper floor for whatever he may need. As she went along wiping down counters and double-checking the prices of some items, Dave appeared in the door, jumping the counter to come face-to-face with his sister. He insisted they needed to leave town that instant, and when she looked out the large windows, Alaya saw the sky had turned red. Then the alarms started.

They didn't last long, but once they were on the street, Alaya didn't have any questions as to why. The chaos had started from a streak of pure shadow reaching into the sky above the city. Even from a distance, the creatures spewing from it were recognizable from every history textbook she had ever opened. Demons had returned to Kosmos, and Alaya had the twisted honor of first-row seats.

It didn't matter how fast they abandoned the shop, which Alaya was hesitant to do, or how hard the duo fought for their and other's protection. The siblings were quickly noticed for their remarkable power and control-- or in Alaya's case, lack of control-- and became targets for possession. The first wave of demons would be the first for months, they needed to pick and choose who they decided to take as a host, if the siblings fought less, they may have been ignored. Perhaps they could have escaped if they hid in the shadows, or waiting the first wave out in their home. The "what ifs" buzzing in Alayas head, she tries not to think of what happened.

She's constantly planning from the back of her own mind, choosing that her mind is better focused on the future than the past.

Relationships
[David]

Her younger brother, currently missing. She doesn't know where he is or what condition he's in, but at this point all she can hope for is that he's alive.

[Dídymoi]

The demon piloting her body, much more extroverted than Alaya ever was. If they were to properly interact, they wouldn't get along very well, even without the complications of their meeting.
