Konchumei Shouri also Insect King: Flygon is a second year student as Shiketsu High School training to become a hero in class 2-1. He serves as the main character of the Shiketsu Headcanon
Konchumei is a young man of average height and a slightly muscular build with long messy hair that reaches his shoulders. Konchumei has somewhat square round eyes that have a black sclera with a blue iris and a grey pupil. Due to his quirk, Kochumei’s physical appearance has been altered with his skin being colored into a blue color along with his hair being a darker shade of blue. In addition to his quirk altering his skin, hair, and eyes, he has a pair of decapoda antanneas on his head with tips being the same color as his hair and pair of webbed dragon ears. Konchumei has what one can describe as an innocent looking face making him look younger than he does, hinting to his gentle nature.
When in school, Konchumei wears the general uniform male Shiketsu high school students depending on the season.
Konchumei's casual wear varies by the season.
Konchumei is an introverted person having grown up with few friends due to bullying he suffered because his quirk at a young age which led to him growing up as a bit of a loner with shy disposition when around others whether in large crowds or smaller groups of individuals becoming quite bashful around new people wanting to make a good impression so that they'll like him and not see him as how he's been viewed and tries not to use him power around them so they don't think that. He can be easily flustered around someone he likes. Due his timidity he's seen as being unfit for being a class representative based on Shiketsu's criteria for choosing the position despite having abilities and grades decent enough for the job. However, despite his introversion, Konchumei is touted by his peers and the staff at Shiketsu for being a gentle soul who wouldn't harm a fly with his kindess being too genuine that it'd be hard to believe that he'd ever act with an ulterior motive. Combined with his introverted nature, Konchumei is someone who values friendship dearly being grateful for whatever friend he makes.
Konchumei has a strong love for nature even as a kid, loving the outdoors, often being found going on 'adventures' by hiking in the woods by his house, the park, or in general taking whatever chance he could be outside, even in his teenage years he's rarely if ever found at home, more often than can be found in deep wooded areas, gardens, or simply walking around the city enjoying the little things life has to offer. Due to his love of nature, some of his favorite hobbies include outdoor activity like hiking, camping, and sunbathing, especially when he has others to do so with. Konchumei has an interest in bugs, especially since his quirk manifested allowing to communicate with them and understand them and makes a hobby out of collecting them to nirture them until they're fully grown and release them back into the wild.
Because of his shyness and timidity, Konchumei at times can be indecisive and rather weak-willed in certain aspects and prone to giving up when faced with emotional challenges. Konchumei's shyness can hold him back from making decisions from minor things like where to eat out to dinner or something major such whether or not to pursue romantic interest in someone and face the possiblity of rejection or ignore to do so and not suffer that feeling. However because of this, it's possible for him to give up when emotionally challenged in situations such as his long time friend, eventual girlfriend Ao whom he's had a crush on since middle school and whether not to pursue other people being too nervous to tell her, fearing she'd reject him and their friendship would take a downward spiral or the worse situation of seeing Ao begin a relationship with another girl following their licesnse exam and gave up on the idea of them being a couple, believing that she's more interested in girls than guys and that he'd never have a chance with her before actually beginning a relationship with her. This does play a factor at times in his heroics with him questioning his abilities and if he has the right to attend a school as prestigious as Shiketsu.
Despite his timidity, Konchumei does have a brave side to him being to without second thought stand up for what he strongly believes in showing like most heroes he has a strong sense of justice. Having been bullied, Konchumei is someone who doesn't take too kindly to bullying and will immediately rush to the aide of the victim should he see happening being fully prepared to fight and use his quirk to defend others if need be. However, this is a spontaneous action that occurs in the spur of the moment due to his own experiences immediately triggering such action. Due to his quirk giving him a new outlook on life and the bullying he's gone through, Konchumei values all life whether it be people, animals, plants, and insects. Due to his quirk, he can talk to bugs and 'understand them' and see they're living beings and how important plants are to them for their survival which gives him an appreciation for nature to enjoy the little things in life that we take for granted and oppose things like deforestation and other wise trying to control nature or remove it.

Overall Abilities
Despite his timid and shy nature, Konchumei is an exceptionally powerful hero in-training with him being a contender for class representative which given Shiketsu's standards and system speaks volumes about his abilities as a hero with only his introversion being the thing that holds him back. Despite that, Konchumei's abilities put him on par with exceptional students in his class and above some of the third years.
- Superhuman Strength: Like insects, Konchumei is capable of lifting many times his natural body weight being able to lift average sized cars and medium trucks without much difficulty.
- Superhuman Durability: Despite his insect physiology, Konchumei has a strong exoskeleton which heightens his muscle giving him a tougher body.
- Enhanced Survivability.: Like some insects, Konchumei has incredible survivability being able to withstand extremely cold and hot temperatures or even radiation for prolonged periods of time as well as hold his breathe underwater for extended periods of time.
- Heightened Sense of Smell: Konchumei's sense of smell is fairly acute. While being able to smell with his nose, his antennaes allow him a more heightened sense of smell and can identify distinct odors regardless of how similar that they may be.
- Night Vision: Like other insects, Konchumei is capable of seeing extremely well in the dark, being able to navigate unlit areas without any real trouble.
- Billingualism: Konchumei can fluently speak English on top of Japanese
- Flight: Konchumei is able to achieve flight by sprouting a pair of wings on his back with his wings flapping 1,000 times per second and fl
- Superhuman Speed.: On his feet, Konchumei's speed is above average but with his wings, he's capable flying roughly as fast as a Peregrine falcon which is the fastest animal on the planet.
Quirk
Pest Control (害虫駆除, Gaichū Kujo): Konchumei’s quirk allows him communicate with insects and arthopods and command them to do his bidding whether it's for offensive properities giving him an often large number of potential allies or gathering intel making him a great scouter taking advantage of the size of his bugs and ability to communicate with them to retrieve knowledge of his enemies, find citizens who may be in danger, or general lost objects.
Konchumei’s quirk also allows him to use the natural abilities of insects such as: sticking to and climbing walls, being able to lift more than his own body weight, longevity, and survivability of those insects with immunity to toxins from similar enough chemicals to that found in certain insects. Konchumei's quirk even allows this ability him create silk webs and even regenerate limbs provided he can do so within in a specific time frame and has the vitality to do so.
However, while his abilities may be diverse they come with the drawback that prolouge use of his quirk can render him unable to speak. Due to the quirk giving him physiology of an insect, his reaction to the weather is a cause for concern for him with him being at a disadvantage to extreme heat and cold temperatures with his natural human physiology allowing him to withstand as much heat and freezing temperature as normal, his insect physiology considerably reduce the amount of time he can be in such temperatures before it begins to negatively affects him with temperatures too hot causing him to pass out and too low temperature causing him shut down almost completely. In both cases, his quirk is rendered almost completely unusable..

- Konchumei's story arc is about him shedding his timidity shell to realize his true potential and be the hero he wants to be with his story in a way being him undergoing a metamorphosis from a caterpillar into a radiant butterfly.

- Konchumei collected insects as a kid primarily for fun but after obtaining his quirk he opts to leave them in the wild but will still collect insects from unfavorable enviroments and nirture them before releasing them back into the wild.

- Konchumei to a degree is Herpetophobic, specifically with lizards and frogs who are well known insectivores. Ironically he still places value on their lives like any other creatures.
- Konchumei's name comes from the Japanese word 'Konchu' meaning insect. Mei which means "Sprout" or "Bright" or "Reliant". The Japanese word "Shori" which means 'victorious'. Altogether, Konchumei's name literally means: "Victorious Bright/Reliant/Sprouting Insect both referencing his quirk and story of being reliant on others for emotional support than sprouting into a bright hero people admire.
