THE CAPTURED GNOLL

Cocky, Resentful, Wild, Unpredictable, Aggressive, Temperamental, Dumb

Knox is a cocky creature, brought up to always be competing, showing off his strength, and proving himself. Despite growing up in a tribe of capable gnolls, he has never relied on others. Knox was respected amongst his pack for his sheer strength, but many of them despised him for his cockiness and selfishness as well. Knox was treated as an unspoken leader despite his lack of experience and responsibility. He had no family and didn't look out for the weak of his pack. He needed to settle down to learn that responsibility, and then maybe he would be a good leader. 

They are nomadic people and traveled as a pack, but Knox had a habit of going on ahead by himself to scout out and catch up with them later. He liked to face the treachery ahead alone as a way to get stronger and for general sport. However, despite doing this for most of his life and facing lil consequences besides a few scrapes and bruises, it also caused his downfall. One day when he went off alone like usual, he came face to face with The Ice General, who wanted to prove his strength by facing a ferocious gnoll one-on-one. Naturally, Knox thought he could take him, but he was wrong and was captured by the dragon General (Caymus - see links). 

Now Knox has become the General's trophy to show off around town as a sign of the General's strength and his own failure. He is often punished for his wild, predatory instincts, yet he is unyielding.

Trivia: 

• he hasn't been called his name in a long time, because his master has no respect for it 
• forced to wear only a loin cloth to conform to societal standards of shame and strip him of any pride of his species
• often drooling or snarling
