There once was a little leaf that couldn't move no matter how hard it tried. It would get crushed, teared at, and rained on. Eventually, all that was left was a little piece. And yet, it was still a leaf. Soon enough, a big wind blew that tiny piece in a different location where it grew into something new and great.
About
As a child, Mikado was constantly passed around by her many foster parents. She was always treated as a housekeeper instead of a child and would always be sent to another family whenever her previous owners moved away. Tired from being treated as a maid, she grew close with an elderly homeless man who frequently visited her area and left to go with him once she turned 16 years old.
Even though the two struggled with money, Mikado was much happier and would take up babysitting jobs to feed the both of them. She enjoyed taking care of the man and he, in turn, would keep her company and teach her life lessons through his own mistakes. As the old man's life nears its end, he gives Mikado his last name and wishes her happiness. On the day of his passing, Mikado encounters a man who asks her to take care of his daughter while he was busy and paid her handsomely. With the money and support from her new friend, she was able to open up her own daycare and took in any and all children in need of care and nurture.

One of the life lessons that she learned from the homeless man was to be an opportunist. However, she took it a bit too far and now has trouble saying, "no."
She loves all children no matter their size, shape, age, or gender. She would even treat those older than her as one.
She never gets angry and is often told that she is too lenient with people.
She enjoys baking and sharing her sweets with those in her area. She always has cookies ready to give out on the go.
Relationships
Ciyu (lover)The two first met after Ciyu stopped Mikado from being bothered by an obsessed suitor and decided to start fake dating to ward off others. Eventually, fake dating naturally shifted into real dating and they both wordlessly agreed to continue their relationship. Ciyu would take Mikado to exciting events which she greatly enjoys while Mikado comforts her throughout her troubles.
Emmett (friend)Emmett was the person that gave her a new opportunity in life and helped her with her dreams. She used totake care of his daughter while he was at work and would go out together for coffee during breaks. She still feels in debt to him but he reassures her that she has nothing to worry about. They both share a fondness for children and she would unconsiously baby him at times.
Nao (friend)They live near each other and she would frequently invite him over whenever he needs company. Though Nao has a nanny, he considers Mikado as another parent figure and picked up some of her personality traits as a result of spending a lot of time together. He would often sneak over to her place for dessert after dinner.
Valentina (friend)While on a walk to the store, Mikado stumpled upon Valentina who looked overwhelmed. Assuming she was new to the area, Mikado decided to introduce herself and showed the other woman around. At first, Valentina was very cautious around Mikado. However, it quickly ended and Valentina insisted that the two hang out again whenever either of them are free.
