Free spirit with a seemingly endless appetite for serving... And learning.
His cautious approach in strange lands and around those he doesn't know help him to survive without much of a hitch (at least, as long as the people in the surrounding area allow such a 'creature' to wander about).
He knows far too many languages but refuses to speak unless he feels he's in good company. Aka the most selective mute.
Sometimes he can come off pretentious (see reasons above lmao).
He was once something akin to a slave. He earned his freedom by helping his masters obtain further knowledge they didn't dare learn on their own. In a sense his wandering is compulsive in that his masters previous spoke highly of his curious nature, and strongly suggested he learn as much as he can, where-ever he can.
