Kaoori's Links
Adopted son. Does not see the word "adopted", he is as much her child as any she birthed. Enjoys his antics and energy, Her 'Bright Dusk'.
Older brother. Was elated to find another sibling, let alone one who'd traveled to the forest. Cares for deeply.
An old, old friend. Always loved Zerg's happiness and it always rubbed off on Kaoori. Grateful for the friendship, as well as treasured.
Friend, respected. Despite the rilvarly between both their mates, finds the doe a calming presence and easy to get along with. Grateful to her for looking out for Hoshiko.
Loves like a daughter, sees as a friend, and longs to see peace between their respective families. <3 Worries for the smol's well being more often than not.
Once a friend turned foe. Watched Darkweaver and Wesker fight against each other, both of them being friends of hers, in sadness until Dark killed Wesker in combat. Unable to forgive the demon for killing him, even when Wesker was brought back to life. Slowly turned on him, and a rivalry has expanded between their families. Hate has turned into mnostly indifference as the years pass, but she will never forget what happened.
A friend turned frustration following the temporary death of his nemesis. For a time he had tried to make things right, but eventually gave up and let his hostility show for a season. His aggression was only curbed by the guidance toward patience by his beloved Laghodessa, who insisted on ending the cycle of violence he was getting into in favor of trying harder for peace. The rivalry between the heads of families continues, but perhaps by Laghodessa's intervention alone it seems all bloodshed officially stopped. Regrets the lost friendship.
Targeted by him multiple times, considered prey by the wolf. Ren's success was always thwarted by Wesker.
Yet another deer he considered prey, also tormented her a fair bit (;n;) during the years, his motives eventually changing and using said torment to get back at Wesker (if I'm remembering correctly). Was physically unsuccessful. I think he also threatened to dig up her passed daughter at some point too because Ren is such a nice character /s ghjfkdhg.
However each attempt at getting at her was thwarted by Wesker as much to his irritation.
Was once nonchalant about him, now terrified of. His 'little blue doe'. Spent a lot of time thinking of ways to return her mate's soul to him, even though it was an honest deal. With the help of Yura, visited his hell and stole Wesker's and Bartemius' souls and returned them to them both. Osias bid his time and exacted revenge, first by running a tine through her and then later on, assuming the form of a snake to bite her and 'mark' her. They are now connected. Sometimes hears snippets of thoughts from the demon through their connection.
Mother. Loved, despite her past. Knows that it wasn't just her fault the herd drove her away. Reunited in the mountains of Japan, and brought her back to the forest with her family.
His "Little Pandora". Grandfather figure. Not one to shy away from dangerous things, has always had a curiosity about him. Longs for the days when they would sit and he would speak of many things.
Father; a source of sadness and disappointment. Was one of the first faces she saw when she opened her eyes to the world; never knew why he disliked her until he left her alone in the Endless Forest. Realized how different she was from him as she grew and her appearance began to change more. Visited Hokkaido's mountains with Wesker and attempted to amend things when Katsutoshi confirmed he had disowned her.
Daughter. Wished Sayako had abandoned her in the beginning like he demanded. Some thought she was perhaps a message from the Kami, but decided against when she began to attract wolves because of how she stood out in the herd.
Took her to the Endless Forest with Sayako and abandoned her on a foggy night as a fawn.
A cherished old friend. Grateful to be able to trust her and for the support always offered by the Starkeeper. Kindred spirit.
A dear friend. Has known Corvus for a long time; she remembers his panic at her giving birth for the first time. Always respected his quiet nature, and even welcomes it as a break from a busy world. Hope the stag finds his own happiness.
Not-Mum
Old friend that goes way back. Also one of the few he's relaxed and comfortable around and will seek her out for quiet company. Highly appreciates that she respects him, even when she's gently nudging him to socialise.
Doesn't want to disappoint her in any way.
Dear friend. They were very close for a time, enough to call him brother. Then there was some strife, and they grew apart. More recently, time was spent to try to fix their friendship, her heart breaking when the hart grew ill and passed. Will always remember, he is a large part of her past.
A long and complicated history, but a bond that mattered. Though they didn't get the time to fully mend things, glad that they did get some time towards the end.
One of her greatest fears. Has an uhealthy obsession with her, they have been predator and prey for a long time, almost since Kaoori's debut in the forest. Hasn't seen in some time, but she knows that means nothing. He always comes back.
A friend that goes way back. Despite their differences, Kaoori loves to visit and enjoys Chrona's visits when he is in forest.
long time friend
